Graffiti Tag
« on: August 25, 2015, 03:21:13 PM »
Got a new TAG from BowlerX.com and tossed it last night in league. 222,237,236. That's about my average so no big deal. But the big deal what how the ball was hitting those pins. My first impression was, wow that ball goes long. So I started to get on it more.... and sure enough it went long but stood up in the front of the head pin. So I moved my target right to see what happens when I send the ball... and WOW!  WOW is the only thing I can say... My balls have never hit the pins harder than this ball does... 60x5x40... pin above ring finger...pap 5 over and 1/4 up. I was slinging wood!!! I left 5 9 pins (only one high), some 8's, 7's and a couple 10.s. Only one weak when I got into 20 out to 8 and missed it at the bottom. My rev rate is 375 and ball speed off my hand is around 17.5.
I cant say that I have enjoy bowling a night of league more than that and that with 6 5 800's and 7 300s in the last 6 months. Cant wait to sub tonight to see if it was just a fluke.

I just ordered one myself, waiting for it to arrive tomorrow. I am hoping it fills the spot of my Tribal as that ball seems to be going toward end of life. Tribal is still a good ball but it definitely doesn't have the pop it had a couple hundred games ago.

Looking for good things out of the Tag. Glad to see someone likes it as it has gotten mixed reviews.

Would love to see a video of your ball?  What layout do you have?  I just can't get my TAG to work for me.  Didn't work OOB.  I polished it up and put a weight hole in it.  It is better in that it does make a move sometimes, but it is just so sensitive to oil and hand position.

Go 2000 and polish, shouldn't be so sensitive, mine works with pin in ring finger and cg in line with it, and its money with some knocked off shine

I'll give it a try.  I haven't given up on it yet but I am very close.

Don't, trust me on that one, the first one I had worked awesome at OOB, then made a surface change to experiment and the reaction was smoother, controlable and still hit pretty good at the pins, now it cracked and got it replaced, still trying to figure it out at OOB finish, need some more games on it, having over under reaction due to the fact that the ball is new, the drilling layout is the same as the first one and so is the reaction, just come over under shots, once it sees the friction, goes to the pocket like a magnet

Figure the ball out and its gonna be a good compliment to a shock/sting/rocket in my experience

I read all the comments which seem to point out that (The Tag) works for some and not for others.
That may be because of all the different oil patterns you all are bowling on, including that all THS are not universal.  The type of lanes ( wood, AMF vs. Brunswick syn.) are not the same. Bowlers are not the same and so on. There are so many variables that each time we purchase and try a ball it may work great or not work (so well) as we would expect based on all the videos and hype we are exposed to.

Wouldnt that be same for every ball on the market.....

Yes it would.  That's why I said "each time we purchase and try a ball"....meaning any and all balls.
