Title: Supra Rally
Post by: BallReviews-scodaddy21 on May 02, 2023, 09:24:03 AM
The driving force for the development of the Motiv Supra Rally was speed, power, and precision. This mid-performance pearl bowling ball was designed to turn it up when it hits the friction on the backend of the lane. When the oil dries up on the lanes this is the ball to turn to! The Propulsion DRS (Drag Reduction System) Pearl coverstock was specifically produced for lanes with higher friction to offer a cleaner and more angular entry. This ball introduces the Quadfire V2 core which has a lower differential to aid in ball energy retention through the front of the lane so the ball can explode on the backend with plenty of continuation. This ball keeps the same 0.040 differential in all weights. The 5500 LSP finish is high gloss and makes this ball shine!

Ive been waiting for a piece that truly allows me to continue to stay right after the transition in long blocks. The ability to stay right while having a piece that can retain energy is almost NON- existent.  Well the wait is over. The new Motiv Supra Rally now provides the length you need down lane during those late transition games while still retaining the energy needed to clear out the corners as well. The ability to stay right – especially if that is your A game is a critical point in being successful and making that cut late in the block. The DRS (Drag Reduction System) Pearl Reactive cover makes this ball long and angular – I already loved the Supra and Supra Enzo and this one is bigger and better! Quite the additional for bowlers of all skill levels!

The new Supra Rally is the newest addition and the return of the Supra line. The Supra Rally features the return of a famous core from the QZ line, the Quadfire core. With this new Quadfire V2 core, the RG is slightly higher compared to the original Quadfire core to give it a little more length, and the differential, which is .040 across ALL weights of this core, is just a few points lower than the original Quadfire core to make it a little more tame. The new Propulsion DRS cover on this Supra Rally makes the ball very clean, but very responsive to friction which makes this ball very angular. Now, I'm sure the more commonly asked question is going to be "how does this ball compare to the original Supra?" This ball is much cleaner, quicker, and sharper compared to the original Supra. The original Supra is much earlier and smoother compared to the Supra Rally. Just because it is earlier, I believe it does make it seem more left to right compared to the Supra Rally. The Supra Rally will be the go-to ball when the lanes are breaking down and you are getting really left and need something to turn the corner really quick and make it back to the pocket.

I got my Supra Rally yesterday and rolled it for the first time tonight in summer league
THS on original wood lanes and a lot of friction and back end. I avg 14.3 mph with
Low revs and mainly a stroker down and in. Ball is as advertised, it got thru the front
Easy and on the lanes made a strong turn off the friction.  I had to swing it out
which is not my style.  I throw 13lb. Very happy with the ball so far

Likes:length, response off the friction and hitting power for a 13lb ball

First thing first, the Supra is a house shot killer. Allows you to be right from the beginning and move left without loosing energy as the night goes on. Perfect ball for me when the venom line is a little much and hooking too early. Also have knocked the shine off on longer shots and still blended beautifully.

Core: Quadfire V2
Type: Symmetrical
Coverstock: Propulsion DRS Pearl Reactive
Box Finish: 5500 Grit LSP
Video: https://youtu.be/5VQxEf-YzNY
Layout:  60 x 4 1/8 x 20

Strengths
Propulsion DRS Pearl Reactive allow Supra Rally to save everything it has for the breakpoint.
Supra Rally fits just underneath Fatal Venom, it’s lower differential core provides less hook to that of Supra and Supra Enzo.

Weaknesses
Propulsion DRS Pearl Reactive is not designed to combat heavy oil as it doesn’t have enough teeth.

Overall Summary
Supra Rally is the middle ground ball between Supra and Supra Enzo, where Supra was too long an Ezo was too early for your liking Supra Rally fits the bill. Where Supra would checkmark encountering friction Supra Rally rolls allowing better control at the breakpoint, I’m yet to change the surface on mine only because I love what it provides me with at box.
Add a Rally to your bag and make your pin carry glad.

Your game will thank you for it.
