I have 2 primal rage remixes both are drilled like my 2 original primal rages.  One is pin up between my bridge which makes the pin about 4 1/2 inches away from my pap.  My other one is drilled pin down below my middle finger which is about 5 inches away from my pap. Both of my rage remixes are stronger than my original rage.  My pin up remix is a bit longer than my pin down red ball but more overall hook. But the pin down remix is earlier and more hook overal than the pin up remix.

Overall I believe if you need something for heavier or longer lane patterns this ball would be a good fit if you need a stronger overall motion than the original primal rage. This ball Will also work well when the lanes Start to open up and allow you to get left and loop the lanes.

The Primal Rage Remix takes the high performance of Motiv's famous #Redball to an even higher level. The hybrid cover is where it's at.  It allows the Remix to read the middle part of the lane, tackling heavy oil conditions while creating enough motion to the pocket. Most equipment is either too strong early or way too strong late causing that dreaded over/under reaction. The Remix gives you great control with enough punch on the back part of the lane to strike. Feel free to purchase two as this ball likes any drilling I put on it.  It's a must for any serious competitive bowler.

Test Environment:
Fresh 42’ THS

Review:
The Primal Rage Remix is unreal. I actually drilled two of these. However, I used this specific one to test against the original Primal Rage and the Jackal. Immediately, I saw the difference when comparing to the original Primal Rage. The hybrid shell gives the Remix a quicker response to the drier parts of the lane, but continuous on the backend. I found myself anywhere 3-5 boards further left with the Remix than original Primal Rage. I was able to play pretty to the same spot with the Remix and the Jackal. Biggest difference between the two is the backend shape is a quite different. The Jackal is a little more smoother but doesn’t quite have the recovery if missed outside unlike the Remix. I was able to see the transition through the midlane faster with the Remix.

Likes:
Versatile coverstock
Continuous backend motion
Great for medium and heavy oil, and longer patterns

Dislikes:
None

Summary:
How many homeruns is this now for MOTIV? Trust me when I say “You will want more than one” of this ball. The hitting power is unreal for a ball this strong. I’ve fallen in love with hybrid covers because of the number of shapes that can be created. Not only is this ball great for league especially when you are forced inside, but it is great for multiple patterns 40 feet and longer, and when there is a large amount of volume.

LANE CONDITION

Length:

Volume:

Type THS

LAYOUT 45x41/4x40

Left handed

Tweener

With the high Rg the Remix is smooth through the front part of the lane with strong angular continuation. The pin up layout is great on the THS. I keep the surface at 3000. This is the perfect ball to go to when you need a little more length with big pop down the lane.
