So far with the Tag in 2 different houses...763, 742, 693 and 700. My avg in one house is 218 and in the other 202. Love this ball! Its my first Motiv ball...Now the question...Ive seen all the duribility posts and videos of the Motiv cover stocks and Im impressed with that...BUT I see a lot of post on how the Octane isnt that great, the Panic is OK but not great etc...So, With the Tag being where it is in a line up (light oil) even tho its stronger then that...what are the next 2 balls up from the Tag to put in my bag? The Venom Shock? Forza? Primal Rage? Another Tag drilled different? I dont know all the stats like tilt etc...but speed is 15 to 16, medium track, medium to higer revs, tweener.

It kinda depends on what you will see as far as a range of conditions.  In one scenario, you may need something with the Jackal as your strongest or perhaps the Forza.  You may be able to get away with the Tag being the weakest or perhaps the Ascent.

If it were me, I could see the Tag as my weakest with the Venom Shock above it and perhaps the Forza or Covert Vengeance above it.  I would get the Forza if I bowled on flatter conditions and the Vengeance if I was THS only.

I have two Tags....drilled different and different surfaces and on THS I wont need anything else.....The Strong Tag at 4000 is jst a bit weaker in strength to my Venom Shock but a a bit different motion on THS.  I do believe a Venom Shock is a must for all bowlers especially Tournament bowlers. I have a Forza but havent drilled it yet, not until next season, so cant help you there. I can say that the Vengeance, Venom Shock and Tag are my 3 favs so far....The Covert, Jackal and Apex are also very good. I didnt care for Tribal Fire and Panic was ok, but didnt thrill me too much.

I carry 2 tags, 2 Panics, and a Vengeance 90% of the time.

If I had to only take three it would be my Forza, Panic, and Tag.  Now with that said I take my Jackal and are waiting on the new rebel tank to be under my Tag.

Fwiw, I like my Octane. Granted it is the first and only Motiv ball I have so far. So I have no basis of comparison personally. My son has a fleet however. He just got a shock and likes it a lot. Believe the hype. After that, it would really depend on the condition you will see more often. That's all I got.
