Since i got my Covert Tank i have used nothing else but that & a Blitz, love the reaction i get from them & other than the Desert i just got i don't see me using anything else in league. I feel i should have 1 reactive resin ball for tourn's or just to have. over the years have tried several Motiv balls & never really found 1 that worked well for me (that's why i hesitated in getting the Covert!!! ) glad i let my shop guy talk me into it. ;)
so the question is, is a Venom Shock the 1 ball to get ?
List: United Revolt,Octane Carbon,Octane Burn,Primal Rage,Tag,Jackel,Forza,Forza Redline,Recon RX1 Orange
sorry for long post !

Honestly, if I could only have one ball, it would be a Venom Shock.

I would think you would've like the Forza and Jackal if you like the shape of the microcells, most of the others you have listed are more aggressive to friction.
As far as the Shock on oiler lanes it can have a hockey stick shape with a strong reaction to dry. On shorter patterns or transition is can have a very even shape. In my opinion it's still a much stronger ball when it sees friction than the Tanks.
Would I recommend sure why not give their most popular ball a try. But if you haven't found a reactive that "works" well for you, than the urethane shape may be more to your liking.

i had those balls several years ago & i throw the ball totally different these days, more down & in. i have had several surgeries on my arm so can't move in and rip it like the old days. have always done well w/urethane but carry was always an issue. these Motiv balls carry very well for me. just want to have a (just in case) ball....

I haven't even thrown one and think you can't go wrong with a Shock

I just got a Shock in a raffle. I can't wait to try something truly different. The IQ Tour Solis and GB2s with about 1200 games on them are finally retired.

Venom Shock is super good, I think you'll enjoy it. It will be a little stronger and have more visibile shape downlane than the Blitz, which will get really evident when you need to cross more boards.
I use my Shock on darn near everything, it is my benchmark and unless the pattern is an extreme (super long and oily, or super short and dry) it gets used. Ball up to a Forge Fire when needed or down to a Supra when you need more length and angle. Throw the Blitz and Covert in for blending fresh backends out and a Jackal Ghost when they have a lot oil and you have a pretty awesome bag, IMO.

It's quite simple. Best ball ever. Period.
