Usually after the first game I can switch to the rebel tank on my ths. I love this ball. The hit and carry is unreal. It seems like there is so much energy when the tank hits the pocket. This is the perfect ball for playing down and in.

I don't have the rebel tank, but I frequently seem to be using my Pitch Black in two different houses. I see the same thing
-
The tank and rebel tank have been my 1-2 combo this year since my ball speed is down and I have been loving it

Does anybody know how the Rebel Tank and Pitch Blue compare? With both using pearl/urethane hybrid coverstocks and the cores seemingly not too different I'm thinking they should be similar but it's hard to say. I've never had a urethane before and I'm seriously considering the Rebel Tank.

What surface are you folks using the Rebel and the Pitch Black?
-
Pitch Blue actually comes 1500 sanded on a pearl cover. I believe the Rebel Tank comes polished OOB. I have a Pitch Red thats polished OOB and its pretty nice and probably more comparable to the Rebel Tank. Now i havent thrown the Rebel Tank but i have thrown the original Tank and its went pretty straight compared to the Pitch Black with same surface.

The Pitch Blue comes 2000 grit Abralon. The Rebel Tank comes 4000 grit.
I was wondering if you & NeumannKnight used the stock surface or if you changed it to something else.

I still use the rebel tank with the original stock surface. It has put on a little shine but not too bad.
