Jackal Carnage VS Grudge
« on: February 14, 2016, 12:31:44 AM »
Has anybody had the chance to compare these two balls specifically? Both seem like great heavy oil options but I was wondering if there were any significant differences between the two. From what I've seen in videos the Carnage looks like it might be a bit more versatile, but it's hard to get a real good feel for a ball that way. Any information would be much appreciated.

I can only speak for a very small demographic area, but after watching Jackals for over 15 months, I have yet to see one die or become unresponsive. No meters or lasers to measure with, just watching the ball motion and observing.

A small group of us keep track of certain balls for curiosity. Dollar for dollar it's a good value and has a low cost of operation and maintenamce.

As for Jackals not working well, I see em, but there in the hands of unskilled bowlers. We watch them burn up and leave a wash out or split, or simply labor and sputter, oh well.

Yeah, that's something to keep in mind for sure too since bowling balls aren't miracle workers but I'd like to think I can tell the difference between your "unskilled" bowler and someone who throws the ball fairly well. The only Jackals I've seen and formed opinions on are from those who would fall into the latter category.

But going back to the Carnage specifically, what kind of continuation through the pin deck do you see? Seems like in a few of the videos I've watched it tends to exit more towards the 9 pin (for a righty) and doesn't drive through as often as I'd like to see. A lot of that could be the oil patterns it's being tested on and/or the bowler (but they're usually your higher rev/power types) but without having much else to go on it's hard to say.

I really wish more people would drill up some Carnages in my area. :(
