I drilled the raptor and backdraft when they came out and they were So So for me. I had the opportunity to move a ball I had no Intentions of drilling to get this one so I pulled the trigger.
Like many balls, there's nothing wrong with the Raptor or the Backdraft. Unless you tried at least 2 drillings and 2 - 3 surfaces on each, you just have not found the right combination for your release and the oil amount/pattern on which you bowl.
The Sigma Hybrid won't be any different.
It is meant to be a benchmark on medium to medium-heavy oil due to its dull surface (1000 grit) and very low RG (2.47). Its surface is VERY rough. With its super low RG and that surface, you better have a good amount of oil in the heads or be fairly speed dominant. I'd suggest taking the cover to a higher grit to even begin with unless you are very speed dominant.
Because of these factors, this ball is going to be very even arcing for probably 90 - 95% of the people and all oil conditions they will see.
