Probably summer release as all the companies put out their dry lane stuff for summer leagues, now that I think about it.

April announcement after Ripcord Flight.  Out in May as next release.  Between the Covert Tank and Tank Blitz.  As, I bowl in one house that is light oil with poor lane maintenance less head oil with Kegel Icon poor length wise taper I will be considering the Desert Tank.

Looked like EJ was using it at the WSOB. Thought it was the Jackal till I saw the Tank logo. The gold looks good

I get more excited for the new dry options than anything else these days. Lots of good options for oil across the board... it's a lot trickier for the burn. Definitely keeping an eye on this one.

DESERT TANKDESCRIPTION•The pearl Desert Tankâ„¢ is yet another incredible ball featuring new Microcell Polymer technology, which provides the motion of urethane with the continuation of reactive resin.  •Featuring a pearl version of the Friction+ Microcell Polymer cover stock used on the Tank Blitz, the Desert Tankâ„¢ maneuvers powerfully in lighter oil volumes.  And to help provide an even smoother motion than the Covert Tankâ„¢,the low differential Fluxâ„¢ core design has been deployed to tame track flare.•The cover, core, and the 2000 Grit LSS finish all come together on the Desert Tankâ„¢ to provide a weapon that is dialed in for a controllable motion on high friction lane conditions.Speed-dominant bowlers will really appreciate theperformance attributesof this release

I just hope it doesn't hit like a Covert Tank. For me at least my covert tank gave me an amazing motion but hit like a feather

When I tried one, it wasn't as hard as the Blitz, but it was ok hit. Maybe yours is just flaring too much and uses too much too soon?

got my Desert Tank last week, oh my this one hooks! drilled the same as my Covert & Blitz & i had a hard time keeping it right on open lanes, took it out the end of game 3 in league & was able to open up the entire lane. will try it 1st game of league on the fresh to see how it reacts. maybe it just needs some lane shine to calm it down

I've seen some videos, and spoke with my friend who works for Motiv and when I saw his teaser for it, and I literally said "Wow, that ball slows down fast". For a light oil smooth reaction, it sure looks strong. Compare that to the new Thrill which is just a different cover, and it looks completely different.

This goes to show, numbers aren't everything. If you would have told me a ball that's 2.57 .015 would hook that much, I would have been sceptical.

Microcell is a great looking cover so far based off of 3 balls. Now, if they can tweak the infusion cover to not be so clean, but still maintain the fast motion, watch out.

Seen a few first hand and will be putting holes in mine Thursday. They come out of the box a little rough, its my one beef with Motiv as their dull ball surface finish often is way more rough than they market it to be. Rant off though, smoothing the surface a bit they look awfully good on the lanes and a nice change to when the blitz just starts too early and looks lazy downlane. I'll get some video of all three of the MCP balls in the next few weeks and share it.

I'll be interested in seeing how it looks compared to the Covert. Few shots I've seen with it has it hooking more?

So after using the Desert Tank again last night, for me it is a swing & a miss. the ball has too much late hook to play straighter to the right like the Covert & it forces me inside where I was getting over/under.  will try a surface change. maybe a weaker drill was needed.  to me the Covert is still amazing & i will just pick up a few more of those.
