Title: First night with Jackal
Post by: 12XSECH on May 29, 2015, 08:33:39 AM
THS on tight lanes (the end lanes near the wall) The ball worked great, did what its supposed to. I have it drilled pin above ring finger, MB inch to right of thumb....4 inch pin..It didnt go to long or read the lanes to early. If I tried playing up 5 then it hooked to early but played inside of 12 all night and shot 678. Missed a 10 pin (with spare ball) but only left 2 ten pins all night. Great ball!

It looks like you had no trouble getting out of the ball. Well done.

I had a little trouble...I made the hole bigger before bowling and used tape. As the night went on I had to take the thumb tape out and put a pieces of tan tape on my thumb, then had to remove that and started using powder which I never do. Seems like in the Summer no matter what I do the thumb is never right.

I have 2 pieces of Storm's white tape inside the thumb hole of almost every ball in my arsenal (even the plastic spare ball). The tape is textured which helps the grip. I use Turbo's fitting tape or Vise hada patch blue on the back of my thumb and change that tape as my thumb shrinks or swells. Turbo tape comes in 3 colors: beige, purple, and mint green which is the thickest of the colors. You can use multiple pieces of tape on the back of your thumb as you need it.

It is trial and error. There are so many products on the market related to thumb hole sizing that it would take a "War and Peace" post to go through them all.

Good luck and keep up the hot shooting with the Jackal.
