No, I'm not drilling anything yet.
So, Nemesis is announced, making waves. Ball guide currently has 4 open spots. What slot do you think needs to be filled with the next release? Something between the Thrill and Hydra? Between Recoil and Supra? Assassin and Ripcord? Forge and Forge Fire?
Personally, I think the gap between Supra and Recoil is big. There's a lot of room there for a more responsive ball than the Recoil but not as responsive as the Supra.

What the hell, were did the Venom Shock Pearl go??
Motiv needs to use that core again. Give us the Venom Shock core with a strong hybrid cover. That would be a good replacement for the Rogue Blade.
And a Supra Solid would be nice too.

Honestly, I think they might be done with the Hexion cover. VSP Scorn and Blade had it, Golden has it, and I wasn't too impressed by that, and I think that the motion they're hoping for lies in the new Infusion cover. So far, Fire and Supra have been hits, Nemesis looks good, and it may be what they're looking at for that Storm type motion.
-
Sounds like a "pearl" Tank is needed and an Infusion covered Recoil.

Covert or Blitz?
Honestly, I hope they replace the Golden with something similar, just less chuggy.
-
I would say next ball would would either go between Assassin and Ripcord or between Recoil and Supra. I am not sure we want to release another strong ball after the Alpha Jackal and Trident Nemesis. I do know this, the Nemesis is the strongest pearl we have created in a long time. It is a perfect step down from the Alpha Jackal when the Alpha Jackal may be burning up.
-
Yeah looking forward to a new ball more towards bottom of chart. That is where its at with Motiv for me anyway. Blitz is more than enough ball for me in any house around here.

Oh, I completely agree. I was just underwhelmed by the Golden after being so impressed by the Alpha.

Even with the holes between the Assassin/Ripcord and Recoil/Supra. Right now looks like a good time to put together a complete Motiv arsenal.
-
I remember when the Motiv chart was only three balls wide.
Biggest hole I see is the one that most are pointing out, between the Supra and Venom Recoil. Those are two wildly different balls for being in the same category.
Not sure I see the gap/needed fill between the Rogue Assassin and Ripcord though. That's probably where I would just use a Venom Shock and be happy with it.
And with that said... here comes another Sniper. ;D

>> What the hell, were did the Venom Shock Pearl go??
In my opinion, Motiv ruined that ball from the beginning. Everyone wanted a Venom Shock with a pearl cover, but what they got was a Shock Pearl and a different weight block. That was not what people were asking for. Had Motiv used the same Venom Shock weight block on the pearl, I think the ball would have been more accepted and more successful.
-
Just be done with it and come out with a Venom Cobra SE. Insert Fry shut up and take my money gif.
-
After picking up a Blitz I'm holding until we get light on upcoming releases. I have high hopes for whatever fills the Rouge Blade spot but who knows.

In all honesty, I love the Motiv company, but the whole same name different core thing is annoying.

New Sniper??
Just joking around. But every company should have some option for a spare ball.
-
Coor0, are you inferring that the Sniper is not a spare ball?
-
I wish I could find an Arctic. That ball looked dope.
-
The Artic is true urethane, so it will move a little. The Hyper and Midnight are "polythane." They really do not hook anymore than plastic, but will not crack. I do not know why anyone makes true plastic anymore. It cracks in 6 months. I've had my Hyper for over 2 years, leave it in the trunk year round. Zero issues.

Oh, I'm grabbing a Midnight, but the Arctic always looked cool

Whoops, I was only looking at the ball chart. Forgot they don't include the Snipers in there. Midnight is still current.

Wesley Low used a Midnight last week to help shoot 2 300's on the short
