Motiv Blue Coral Venom video and written review
« on: May 17, 2022, 11:22:08 AM »

Hello guys, a little late to the party, but I am really excited about this one.

There is probably nothing new that we can say about the Venom series. The Venom Shock is one of the most popular balls Motiv has ever produced. This time they created something that they have never done before, a hybrid asymmetrical Venom.

I am going to start this review by saying this: You need a Blue Coral Venom in your bag. It is a hybrid, so it gives you the best of both worlds. It is smooth and controllable and it has a strong backend motion.

The Blue Coral Venom is what I call a house shot killer. It blends the pattern quite nicely, is not too jumpy when it hits the friction and is not too clean to miss the breakpoint in case you miss inside your mark.

I was able to play in my comfort zone with the Blue Coral Venom throughout the whole session. I started laying out the ball betweeen second and third arrow and having the 5th board as my breakpoint. The Blue Coral Venom provided me a smooth, predictable shape with a strong and continuous downlane motion. I was able to play up the boards with it or moving in quite a bit and the ball provided me the same motion shot after shot. I had a hard time missing the pocket with this ball, even on my bad shots, I still had great carry with it.

The Blue Coral Venom is smooth and predictable as a solid but it also has a strong backend motion as pearlized ball. It gives you a great balance of both worlds.

On sport shot patterns, this ball is also a valuable weapon when your stronger ball produces too much friction and you need something a tad cleaner with more shape down the lane without being too angular.

The Blue Coral Venom offers a lot of control on these conditions while it is also clean through the fronts and keeps the same strong but controlled backend motion.

This ball will be a great option on everything but the extremes. On patterns with a higher volume of oil the Blue Coral Venom might be not enough ball, unless you are a rev dominant bowler. On lower volumes patterns or drier conditions, the Blue Coral Venom might be a tad stronger and can be difficult to control at times, but on most medium oil conditions, this ball will be a great option.

Overall, the Blue Coral Venom is a versatile ball that will fit into a lot of different bowling styles. This is one of those balls that will be helpful in a variety of different conditions and a ball that will always find a spot in your bag.

To finish this review I will say this: The Venom Shock has been my favorite Venom ever, but now I am not sure anymore. The Blue Coral Venom is that good.

Thank you for watching!

Looks good and very close to what I have seen with the ball myself.

Thanks for the effort on the reviews Angel!

Thank you Milo! It has been hard for me to keep doing the videos since I am doing home office outside the US, but comments like yours are what makes it all worthy!

It is a great ball, I am seriously thinking about whether the Shock is still my favorite Venom or not...  ;D
