Title: Motiv bowling balls.
Post by: Rantings on December 12, 2010, 02:55:01 AM
Thinking about getting one made by this company. My local driller is not on the list of pro shops for this company. Will it be hard for him to get? (Area Central Illinois.) Like to keep things local and do not wish to go to someone else to drill.

Motiv does.

They are an independent manufacturer based in Michigan.  You might have heard of Tech-line, their parent company...

Very good line of equipment. I have a friend that has made the switch. He is 64 years young, bowls a stroker style with good power. Over the last 3 years has had trouble averaging 200.When he made the switch this past summer, his game jumped to 220 or so. He loves the carry and has very little over/under.He moves through his equipment as the game transitions with little effort.I think, as he does, that this equipment is very similar to some of the old Big B products of the past, with a tweak here and there. Company has a COMPLETE line of balls that complement one another.

They didn't take over any Brunswick assests.

They have their own plant in Muskegon, and offices in Spring Lake.

Really look into other balls before you go motiv,Make sure your driller knows what type of ball you throw. I bought a TR2, was very excited saw all the videos and read the hype on the ball, I got it, the ball didn't move anymore in fact less than my 3 yr old Total NV, Make sure you know what you want the ball to do,  do you want Asymetrical or Symetrical.  this 179.00 ball is an expensive door stop, this is after 7 months of working with the ball and several surface changes.   to Motiv Sorry...

I have a Cruel and am nothing short of satisfied and amazed by this ball

I'm in the process of trying to find out where I fit in the bowling world. I do not know my tech specs of my game, but it's all a learning process.

IDK... I bought a QZ2 and recon silver and they hook more then I expected.even considered this when I chose the lay outs...
The only issues I have is not the fault of the ball but the house I bowl in and carry, same issues with any other co. I've tried in this house.
What I have found so far with Motiv is they react EXACTLY as described for me.
