Post by: RLP12-1998 on December 08, 2015, 11:13:37 PM
What are these grits? And what would be the conversion to abralon pads?

The factory surfaces are done with abralon now, nothing to convert.

You can see the finishing guide here:
http://www.motivbowling.com/resources/factory-finish-guide.html (http://www.motivbowling.com/resources/factory-finish-guide.html)

or use my Bowlers grit chart from here (which includes the motiv chart),

http://home.earthlink.net/~litefrozen/downloads/bowling_grit_chart_v2.pdf (http://home.earthlink.net/~litefrozen/downloads/bowling_grit_chart_v2.pdf)
This is a grit converstion chart for all different types of surface modifying products from pads to polishes.

There are seven pages:
1- The Grit Comparison Chart
2- Grit lists for different products
3- Storms Old and New resurfacing steps, Motiv Factory Finishes
4- Radicals ball surface chart, Mo Pinels Skip a Grit and Some Useful Grit Combos.
5- The Bowling Ball Surface Adjustment Table by jbungard
6- The Ball Surface Friction Calculator (Outdated)
7- The Six sides of a bowling ball chart
