I'm waiting on an "Octane Boost" that has the Turmoilâ„¢ MFS from the Venom Shock at 3k. Black ball with the same logo set as the original Octane.  ;D

If they are going to use a previous core, give us the Thrust with a new cover.

the TR2 is my favorite Motiv ball of all time, but I think the numbers are to close to the Impulse V2. But I have heard that an update version of the Impulse V2, maybe V3 is in the works.

The numbers may be similar, but the balls don't react the same.

I see it's starting to pop in on retail sites for preorder now. As I expected, priced at $147. I say expected because that was the price of the original, but now we have a product that sits in the same performance category as balls prices much less. And is priced comparable to balls that are two levels higher. This for a ball with an older core. It may be a good core, but it seems that every new line that uses it is priced higher than the previous line. Octane higher than frenzy. Frenzy higher (I believe) than QZ.

Not sure what would drive someone to pay such a premium for a light-medium performance ball when the same company has much cheaper options for the same category.

Excellent points. Why pay $147 for that core when I can pay $113 for something with a halogen core that fits in the same slot.

LOL, who am I kidding, I will buy it anyway.  ;D

I may look into it as it appears it will fit in where I need a ball plus it has a differential of.050 in 12# and .047 in 13# weight balls of which I am forced to throw because of health probs and high differential balls work best for me. Also I had great success with the Quadfire Core in the Thrash Frenzy.

Basically the same thing they did with the Tag. Used a core more commonly seen in a higher price point, leave the price tag from that pricepoint in the lower category. I would imagine this is how they will slowly increase pricing over all levels.

Ill still buy one, just might make it more difficult to sell, as it did with the Tag.

Where did you see it? I checked Buddies and Bowling.com and they don't show it.
