QZ1 red
« on: January 21, 2010, 01:51:48 PM »
i was looking at getting a new ball and the qz1 red caught my eye. i have never thrown a motiv product much less seen one in action. my questions are is this their weakest ball so to speak. i am looking for something to fit BELOW my track 505A which is a beast on the backend. i want a nice smooth arc not a skid/snap reaction. would this be a good choice or am i way off base here. any input would be greatly appreciated.  thanks in advance

I'll let you know tomorrow. I'll be throwing mine for the first time on a 2nd shift shot.

The red QZ would be a nice fit underneath your 505A.

The core and cover of the QZ is weaker than your track ball, and the reaction will be smoother off of the breakpoint.

Don't be afraid to put a 4.5" to 5" pin on it.

Let us know your results or if you have any further questions.

I have a 5 1/2" pin on my QZ1 and it's goes extremely long and and it's not going to be as snappy as the 505A but mine does have alittle bit of flip in the backend with the right hand position. To give you an idea it goes down further than my 505C. I think you'll be alright with this ball.
