Title: MOTIV Sigma Hybrid - Kevin's Review and Ball Reaction Video
Post by: Mappa on April 16, 2012, 03:35:38 AM

The Sigma Hybrid has a brand new coverstock wrapped around the versatile core used in the Sigma Tour.  I drilled mine 60* x 5 1/2” x 40* which is one of my favorite layouts. At the box finish, this ball begins it’s move about 2 or 3 feet sooner than the original Sigma, and hooks about 3 or 4 more boards total for me. This ball has a real nice, even arcing motion.

On a house shot, I’m able to play further inside (both with my feet and target) with the Sigma Hybrid…which allows for a more consistent reaction. When I pull the ball a little inside of target, I find that the coverstock on this ball holds the pocket really well, without diving through the nose.  Here is a link of me bowling with my Sigma Hybrid on my bowling center’s house shot, the Kegel Main Street Pattern. In this video, I also roll a Sigma Tour, for comparison purposes.

I can’t wait to try this ball out on heavier sport patterns. We’re all looking for a predictable ball on the tougher shots, and everything I’ve seen so far has shown me that this ball is just that. The even arcing motion is just the ticket to keeping the ball in play in a lower scoring environment.
