On the shelf.... This new Venom Strike will not be missed on the pro shop shelves. The color combo is amazing. The bright orange/blue color combo just make it that much more eye-catching.

On the Lanes... The new Venom Strike is an older core with the specialized version of the Sigma Tour cover called Atomix Arc solid Reactive. I never threw the GT1 but from what I see on this Venom Strike, I think I would have fallen in love with it. I love the way the ease of the core revs up, making me look like I have a ton more hand then I actually do. The smoother back end reaction gives me predictability, that I like down lane. With my game, I can see that I am not able to swing and bring this Venom Strike, but when I need to stay in the same part of the lane with a lil less back end this piece fits perfectly. I was able to get this piece to fit between my Thrash and my Sigma Tour. As with all Motiv equipment, its hits like a truck.

In Conclusion... I can see this ball working great for sport conditions where you need to control down lane reaction. I can see the Venom Strike work for your rev challenged players on Medium patterns. The Gear core will help them with the lack of revs and control ball motion. Higher rev players will be able to go to the Venom Strike when the see over/under patterns to help blend the patterns out. The Venom Strike fits in Motiv's line perfectly. If you are looking at bowling on sport patterns, or shorter patterns, pick up the Venom. If you're looking for back end snap, look for the Scream. Having the Venom Strike in your arsenal will fill that void for you when you have too much length or you have too much flip down lane. All in all Motiv has a ball to fit every style of bowler, and every lane condition. They are growing faster and faster everyday. I'm Motivated, are you?
