I figured while I'm at it, I'll post all the reviews I had yet to post.
The Motiv TZ3 was intended as an international only release. The TZ3 is available, however, in short supply in the United States.

The Z shell is a familiar shell to fans of Motiv equipment as it was used with the Quadfire core. However, the Quadfire QZ1's held a moderately weak core intended for medium dry to medium oil; perhaps even dry lanes. Instead of a moderate core, the TZ3 is holding an incredibly strong symmetrical shell. The "Mega Thrust" core is a modified version of the core used in the TR2 and the TX1. While it still has the high RG, the Mega Thrust has a maximum allowable differential of .060.
The results are impressive. The TZ3 is the longest of all the symmetric high performance Motiv balls to date. The pearlized Z shell and the high rg control the reaction through the heads and retain a great deal of energy. That energy is then used quickly and powerfully when friction is encountered and the Mega Thrust is given a chance to do its job.
Motiv's TZ3 is a long, strong house shot murdering medium oil ball. It is also suitable for shorter patterns where backend is needed or longer, lower volume patterns. I have used the TZ3 with a dull shell to compete on the Shark pattern on wood lanes. Other bowlers had trouble getting the ball through the beaten down heads while retaining backend reaction. That is when the TZ3 is a must have, as it does both.

Great review, Brett! I plan on going to Anderson on Tuesday or Wednesday to try out the TZ3 since the pro shop has it there as a demo ball.
