Love my Venom Shock but its already on the weak side for my low revs. Wonder how new ball will compare to the Cobra or the Panic.

At this point, calling it the Venom Shock Pearl is probably only for marketing reasons. There have been Gear core pearls in the past (Venom Panic).
I can't see how putting Hexion Pearl on the Gear core makes a Venom Shock Pearl. It will probably be a couple steps away from the rest of the Venom series balls.
Doesn't mean I don't like the combination, just odd marketing.

Top Gear core from what I was told. So it's not exactly a Panic. It's purple too.

I love, love, love the Venom Cobra, so a new ball with that core is good news to me. But it might also mean the Venom Cobra is soon to be discontinued, so I will have to grab an extra one.

It seems a bit late to the party but it seems like good marketing. The Shock is still very highly regarded and still thrown a ton in leagues. I think the purple color is much more marketable than the Panic's hideous orange hue. I expect to see a lot of them being thrown after the ball's release.

It’s basically what storm did with the Hyroad. The Hy in Hyroad was for hybrid (right?). But it then was the ‘legendary’ ball in the Road series. So then we got Hyroad pearl, Hyroad solid. Hyroad Nano. It’s not the first time the popularity (and name) of a particular ball was leveraged to try to sell a new ball.

This is what I figured would happen. Much like the different levels of Helix (Helix=Forza Redline, HFP=United Revolt, SFP=Octane Burn) among others Motiv has had.

Top Gear weight block and Hexion MFP cover would be the two differences I can see and color. I see it closer to the Venom Cobra polished hybrid same weight block than the Panic. I also did not have much success with the Panic but love the Shock. Shock IMO is the best manufactured ball Motiv has made.

Venom Panic came out after the Primal Rage. I believe Toxin and Strike were only Venoms released before - and I found both to be good balls. Panic was probably the worst of the series though.

The posts got deleted as the information was "leaked" When the PBA picks up again here soon you'll see all sorts of stuff come out, the Pros will have them and likely another release during the PBA events coming up end of the month and in February
Motiv is trying to keep it quiet as to not ruin the hype around the Jackal Rising release.

All I know is that this will make me finally get a Shock in 14, along with this new ball. Should fill the hole in my line up that I can't find from Storm/RG - because them, Radical, and some others think we only want balls that hook a ton.

Tag Cannon is my skid flip ball right now. Really loving this ball. Different motion than anything else from Motiv.

My bad. I mixed up the Remix date with the original.
One thing Motiv has had a hard time with is the ever-so-popular skid snap reaction. The Primal Rage was close but even it wasn't "Storm"-like. I personally don't match up great with the severe skid-snap look, but know of many that do. This is why I have liked Motiv in the past.

Is your Ink also polished? As noted, I have not had both in 14. I do have the Ink in 14. Didn't know if the Ink would be stronger or weaker. My Ink was extremely skid/flip out of box. Took the shine off and down to 3000 and much smoother. I had two Shocks in 15. One 3000 + light polish with motion hole and the other drilled stronger and kept around 2000. The mh one was great on the house shot. Great combo on a lot of sport shots.
