Motive Balls cracking

My SX-1 completely cracked around the circumference and  my TX-1 developed about a three inch crack on the edge of the"M " on the logo.  Stop drilled the ends of the crack with 1/16" drill in hopes of the crack not increasing.Has anyone here experienced similar problems?

This is the first instance of cracking I have heard of.  Call up HQ and send in a couple of pictures, they'll make it right.

First cracking I've seen of a MOTIV ball .. be interesting to see how they handle it .. would appreciate some feedback as this goes on .. Thanks!

When i first got my TX-1 when they were released, after about 100 games or so i noticed a little separating from the lettering and the ball.  Not a big deal to me, the ball never matched up at all with any shot.  It hasn't stopped me from buying Motiv, as i have an Orange Recon and a Cruel, and plan on getting the new one soon.

For Joe Falco and others:  I contacted Motiv--Scott Wilbur (er?).  Absolutely the best customer relations I could ever imagine!  He heard my story--He said no problem the ball was out of waranty Motiv will replace it. he will send me a new SX-2.  When I asked him if I should send pics or ship the ball back, he said "no--that's OK"  Scott explained that the very first batch of SX-1"s and TX-1's Had a problem with the covers, (since resolved). and the only complaints Motiv has had were with these early balls.  I expected to be dealt with fairly, but Scott went over and above--he even asked my shirt size.  Motiv will be in my bag from here on.

OL .. Thanks! I had a feeling the situation was going to be handled like that .. glad to hear it went as smooth as it did! I think this company is on to something .. I hope they continue to do as well as they have been.

I was hoping they were going to be reasonable with their price .. looks to me like they are following the lead of Ebonite .. the Cruel is a fantastic ball .. picked it up when there was little talk of Motiv .. got it for a good price and thought the ball was as good as any other company!

Just an FYI as I never posted this as it never does any good but just so people know that the first series of SX-1's did have some issues of cracking along the inlaid logo.  My drillers distributor took it back and gave my driller credit as any good business would. You can see the crack along the "M" logo.  Just for information and I am sure they solved this issue.

On my orange Recon, the pin seems to be shrinking, diameter-wise. Kinda weird, never seen that before.
