Motiv’s new release of the Villain is so exciting because they are bringing back the Sinister core with their modern Coercion MFS cover stock. Looking at the Sinister core, this asymmetric gives you a high RG with loads of differential. As a result you can expect to see impressive power and great continuation. The cover, Coercion (medium friction solid), offers great versatility allowing you to easily adjust down to a smoother motion or back up for more of a benchmark look. You get so much performance with this ball at such a great value being in the medium-heavy range on the ball chart. The Villain became and immediate favorite in my tournament arsenal!

So, ya wanna hear something REALLY funny? When everyone on here has a running gag about how stupid these idiotic staffer reviews are for saying "must have ball", somebody actually put it in the %^&* TITLE!..
Seriously, I kid you not!
#unbelievable stupidity.

Hmm... This is a very informative review. Let me list the useful info information that is swaying me to buy it... Ummm... Maybe... Could this be the information I need... Nope. Never mind. I couldn't find any useful info here.

I'm seriously considering creating a top 10 list of cliches contained in staffer reviews.
-
Sorry, but nope, not a must have ball. I threw mine for the first time last night.
Here is the deal as I see it:
It looks to be a medium heavy oil ball, with a reasonable ability to make a decent move at the end of a long/heavy pattern. I bowled on a somewhat slick house shot last night and it was too much for the condition unless I started left of fourth arrow.
It's not going to make you a better bowler.
The Sun won't shine brighter in the sky if you own this ball.
Your morning Corn Flakes will taste the same whether you own this ball or not.
If you stop at Starbucks every morning on the way to work, you will probably be broke...and fat. Don't count on this ball to make a difference.
You will probably still need Ex-Lax if you eat too much cheese; This ball won't change that for you.
If you already have the Jackal Rising and say the Chronic Paranoia, you don't need this ball.
If you already have the Trident Quest, you don't need this ball.
If you already have the Forza SS, you don't need this ball.
This ball isn't the Venom Shock, which is truly the only "must have" ball in the Motiv line-up(Although I do love me some Venom Cobra).
Here is an idea Motiv, give us the cover from the Villain on the Venom Cobra core.

The only things I must have: air, food and water (and my Jackal Rising).

Have you watched his videos? I swear he says in every one that the ball is a must have, or at least how great it is.

I'm still waiting for Motiv to come out with that 25 ball roller bag. :o ;D

Staffer baloney. Every company needs a Luke Rosdahl on their staff actually giving decent reviews.

I just think it takes from the credibility of the OP. If EVERY ball is a "must have" how can I trust your take on ANY of them?
Truthfully, and I ask this with sincerity, if I were in the market for a new Motiv ball and saw that every one was a "must-have", how could I feel OP is being honest w/me?
-
Exactly Doom, and Good Times couldn’t of said it better myself.
-
Props to Luke for saying that not every ball agrees with his game, but at least saying who it would work for and on what shots. There is rarely a bad ball, only bad matchups.

I'm not jumping forums to troll, but I'll be honest, the title sucked me in . . LOL. I guess I just don't think these people stop and THINK, "is what I'm saying ACTUALLY going to make me want to buy this ball? If the situations were reversed, would this work on me?" Yeah obviously I'd like it if you bought Storm/Roto stuff, but if you say you decided on a Venom Shock instead, like how could I fault anyone for that? It's a great ball, denying that would be a lie.
Before I signed with Storm, my bag was a Covert Revolt, Sigma Tour, and the OG Tribal, TELL ME you could put together a better 3 ball bag at that point 4ish years ago??? Your job as a staffer is to know what you're talking about and provide information and let them decide what they want, not con them into anything. I hate salesmen, if you're not selling me what I want, what good are you? The way it's supposed to work is I tell you what I want, and you, the expert, find it for me, or if I'm not sure what I want, it's your job to help me figure it out, not talk me into what gets you the biggest commission check.
What in this review provides any real information? It's a design intent and a lot of propaganda, and if I buy it and it's not what I expected, I'm gonna be pissed. That's happened to me too though, some people bought balls I talked up and didn't like them, other people like balls I've hated, so a certain amount of that is going to happen, but when it does, it's back to the drawing board to figure out something else. Everybody already expects a staffer to be a douche hawking everything to keep their contract, don't be like that . . I'm gonna have to make a training video or something lol . .
