my motiv lineup what am i missing
« on: September 05, 2011, 02:21:08 AM »
I am a high rev player 475+  and I throw about 17-18 mph. My pap is over 5 1/4 and up 1/4 and I really dont know my tilt. Here is my lineup

Heavy oil Raptor drilled pin above bridge mb kicked right of thumb by 3 inches weight hole right of mb.
Med-heavy oil  Cruel LE drilled pin above bridge and mb right of thumb about an inch no hole.
Med oil Primal drilled stacked above the ring.

Med to med light QZ2 blue black drilling it stacked above the ring.
Med light to light Recon silver long pin drilling stacked above the ring

Might have a TZ3 coming also gonna drill stacked above the ring.

What am I missing?

Seems like you've got all lane conditions covered.  What makes you think you're missing something?

IMHO, you're not missing anything. If anything you could reduce the amount of equipment you are using and just make adjustments. If you want to go buy a ball, then just buy a ball.

As stated... I think you have it just about covered and can't see a hole really... unless of course you are encountering something that you can figure out a way to make any of the balls you currently have work, in that case we would need to know what it is that you are facing to help you out. otherwise have some fun!

well I have had a chance to throw the equipment a little. The recon will be drilled today or tomorrow. The Raptor is a strong piece and seems to get me in trouble. I throw this ball starting out and leave alot of ten pins because the house I am in seems like if u swing a ball that is what u will get but in more oil if i could square up it will be great instead of starting 2 boards left of last dot. The cruel le is a bit confusing to me it is a ball that likes to be a bit over under and will skate past the breakpoint if not careful I am gonna sand the ball to 4000 and see if that smooths out the reaction. My primal is awsome I am very happy with that ball it is clean in the fronts and revs up very nice and picks up hard in the later part of the midlane with a clean hard candy cane shape reaction that never quits. Last night with the primal I threw the front 7 then decided to grab the ball in the 8th for no good reason and watched the ball come threw the face for a split and finish out with a 260 In the 3rd game I grabbed my Qz2 and This ball I find to be only like 4  boards lighter than the primal and the reaction is about the same. The lanes really transitioned in the 3rd game and wish i would have had the recon. But over all I am very happy with motiv ended up 197 260 207 for a 664 wich i think would have been better if I would have had the recon to go to. And finally I will be using the recon as a spare slash drier lane ball. I think i have a pretty good array of equipment and i am gonna wait and see if the rumors I have heard about a skid flip ball from motiv is true and go with that. Keep up the great work motiv and any one who hasnt tried out this equipment u are missing out it is awsome equipment that is great looking the neo mark graphics on the balls make them stand out above the rest. And the performance is as good or in my opinioin better than other top line equipment out there. U can grab the raptor or grab the qz2 yes there is a price diffrence but quality of the ball is hard to tell.

Perhaps a larger ball bag? Or maybe a small pickup?

Or to give me the QZ2, primal, or silver recon

FWIW, I've heard Motiv staffers say that with the Raptor, SigTour, QZ2 backdraft, they can tackle just about condition out there.
