Look at the comments of that post on their facebook page. There's a pic. Ascent Apex. Speculation is same core stronger cover. Maybe fusion pearl?

If that's the case, then sign me up for one. The Tribal needs a step down and the Ascent Pearl Fusion Pearl cover on that high RG core would be perfect!

Fusion looks to become the Motiv version of R2S.

That wouldn't be a bad thing . . I think Fusion is actually better than R2S, but that's more a compliment to Motiv than a knock on Storm.

On the website, confirming the information floating around already, Recon core (as the ascents use) and Fusion XL cover (longer version of the fusion pearl).

"We’re pushing even higher on light oil performance with the new Mountain Blue Pearl Ascent Apex!

Released May 16, 2014, it provides more length on high friction lane conditions and a more angular move at the backend. This performance is possible with new Fusionâ„¢ XL Pearl Reactive cover technology and the high RG Reconâ„¢ core design.

The Fusionâ„¢ XL (Xtra Length) Pearl Reactive cover technology utilized on the Ascent Apex is a modified version of the original Fusionâ„¢ shell first used on the Primal Rageâ„¢, which provided a shockingly strong backend motion."
