KEY SELLING POINTS
- Designed for light to medium oil, the Venom Panic is cleaner than the Venom Shock and provides a very strong backend motion.
- The new Turmoilâ„¢ MFP Pearl Reactive cover allows the Venom Panic to get down the lane easily and then strike with outstanding continuation when it finds the friction at the backend of the lane.
- Utilizing the proven Gear core, the Venom Panic revs easily with a low RG and retains plenty of power because of the moderate differential.
- The Coral Pearl color choice demands attention on the shelf.
So the Venom Shock is about to be discontinued soon right?
-
I wouldn't think the Shock would be discontinued. Motiv seems to leave balls in their lineup longer than most companies.

I'm not saying discontinued per se, I'm saying discontinued as the Venom Toxin with the Tribal Fire now, you still can get the Venom Toxin, but the Tribal Fire is the "newest technology"
-
This is probably a replacement for the Venom Toxin, not the Venom Shock.

Not gonna lie, that ball looks really nice. Definitely will stand out on the pro shop wall.

That looks suspiciously like one of my future new balls. :)

Primal venom filled with toxin and rage? 8)

That is a nice looking ball. I wonder if the Tribal is going away and this is the replacement?

Attention getting, but ugly. Reminds me of the Coral Triton.

But not as ugly as the original one, the Venom Strike. That thing was hideous!

Oh boy. Damn it.

You're gonna need a bigger bag. :)

Bigger house!

I already ordered the 2 ball pro shop package :-)

I believe the Toxin was replaced by the Tribal Fire was it not?

No, the Tribal line and the Venom are two different price points not to mention different shot shapes.
-
It's medium light moderate motion per Brett. So tribal fires place.

The fire is listed as moderate and as a delayed hook shape, same as the venom toxin. The Panic might be the replacement of the original Tribal since its the one with a late hook shape...

It doesn't make much sense to me. The fire was just released a few months ago while the tribal and the venom shock are way older than the fire...
-
Skipped the fire, love the Venom line, so this is a must have. Only question is how I'm drilling it. The other 3 have pin in the ring - with a motion hole added to the Shock, and I've liked how they each have rolled. Definitely different looks. I had wanted to add a 2nd Shock with a rico layout - still might. Might go with a motion hole again, but this time try to get the pin up a bit higher where it is recommended. Sold my Tribal to a friend as well, so this ball should fit in nicely between the Shock and Apex. Apex is more shot specific, I find.
And ugly? No. I really like the colors on this one. And I'm generally more of a fan of cool colors.
-
What type of surface is 5000 grit laser? What is it equivalent to? And is this pearl ball polished or dull?
-
On a spinner its roughly 2000 polished. It's just a true surface scanner reading. It's a polished pearl. Although the Ob doesn't look super polished. If you follow the Motiv surfsve guide on how to achieve results come very close in reaction
-
Looks like EJ is throwing this right now on Xtra Frame. Ball looks smooth but strong in the back.
It almost looks like they're bowling on a house shot. All they have to do is get the ball right between 5-10 and they're in the pocket. I think Stu is throwing a Frantic
-
Looking to get something a step down from my Vengeance. Would this fit the bill? Thanks
-
Motiv just introduced the Panic today in their website. As it was stated before, it took the Fire's place and so the Fire took the place of the original Tribal.
Decisions, decisions...
-
My panic is strong down lane for me. To me I'll be throwing my panic when my venom shock wants to go a little to soon and when my vengeance begins to burn up on me. Hits hard and the color is an eye grabber down lane

Are you a Motiv staffer? Otherwise I would like to know how you got a Panic already...

Oh great! So, how would you define this ball? Would be a good step down from the sigma sting?
-
The Venom Panic is going to be a great fit in the Motiv line. My friend who is a staffer got his and i was able to throw it. It is definitely a shape Motiv did not have before. The ball is very clean up front but not overly crazy on the back. It kind of reminds you of a Storm Original Hyroad shape. I also feel it was cleaner upfront compared to a Tribal Fire. I can't wait for the Panic to come out this month. I am definitely getting a couple. ;D
