THREE BALL THS. LINEUP
« on: July 10, 2015, 09:42:48 AM »
Iam going to put a three ball Motiv lineup together. I have a NIB Sigma Sting and am deciding the balls to go above and below it.

I was thinking about the  Rage Remix to go above the Sting to cover heavier patterns.i don't have a good feel for the ball to go below the Sting to handle light and broken down third game situations.

I carry plastic for spares.

Thanks for any suggestions.

If you want to cover the widest range of conditions, I would get an Apex Ascent. A Tag would also fit below the Sting, but it's still a pretty strong ball.

If you are skipping med/hvy and med/light, then Remix, Sting, Apex would be a broad range, but still would have some gaps. Shock/Tag in med/light...pick it for med/hvy, Rage/Vengeance/Revolt.

I am skipping medium heavy and medium light. I want to keep it relatively simple. I bowl on some more difficult house shots, but have found that I can easily cover most conditions with three balls, and usually only one or two.

So, it sounds like you guys are saying the Ascent for light, and the Remix for heavy.  Is there a new Ascent out?

The new Apex  Ascent  has a tweaked cover from the blue (older) one...hearing good things with it.

I wouldn't go to the regular Ascent(unless you have a lot of hand), but to the Ascent Apex. It's a bit more versatile with the Fusion based cover.  The newest versions of the Ascent and Apex Ascent are just different colors of the originals.

Thanks. I do not have a lot of hand, especially when I am bowling without my wrist brace. Sounds like Apex Ascent to go on the bottom will be best.
