new QZ1's
« on: December 05, 2009, 11:48:51 AM »
Drilled these bad boys up the other day.  I left both of them with box surfaces.  The red one I put a 5 5/8 pin, and the purple one I used a 4 in pin.

video:   http://icemilk.bowlspace.com/

The red one gets through the lane better than any of the other balls currently in the Motiv line, while the purple one reads the lane sooner.  The purple one reads the mids and has a strong controled move off the dry.  The red one is clearly stronger on the backend and allows me to duck left and add some hand and not worry about the ball checking up too early.  These two balls are a great one two punch at a great price!
You can start with the purple one playing a little more direct, and then when the lanes transition you can switch to the red one and get the easy push through the front part of the lane and throw it to the dry.  If you are wanting somthing that goes a little bit longer than previous Motiv releases, then the red QZ1 is the ball for you.  Both of these QZ1's are outstanding additions to the Motiv line.

What's the difference between the two balls?  Coverstock?  Core?

Color and factory surface prep are the only differences.

Red one, 2k abralon and Power Gel polish.

Purple one, 1k abralon and Power Gel polish.

Both feature the Quadfire weight block and MOTIVator-Z coverstock.

So basically just pick whatever color you like more and adjust the surface yourself as needed?

So do these hook more than the GT1?

No, these do not hook more than the GT1.
