Title: Sigma Hybrid Question

The secs list the factory surface as 1000 wet sand. Is this a sandpaper spec or Abralon?

I am pretty sure it is abralon (I have always used abralon when trying to duplicate Motiv surfaces).  If you are trying to replicate the OOB surface, I would work your way up to 1000 abralon and see if that is what you are looking for.  If not, you should be pretty close and it will only take a minor adjustment to get it to what you want.

Trying to get any information about their cover and prep is next to impossible I hear.  To solve these kind of issues just do a surface adjustment before using it. At least you will be able to duplicate it.

I picked up 2 of them used and was trying to get to factory as a starting point. I'm pretty sure by the time I'm finished they will be at 3 or 4k
