Attack with speed with the new Venom Cobra. This new breed of Venom features the new Top Gear dual-density weight block and new Sabotage Hybrid Reactive cover combination that is absolutely devastating. Created for light to medium oil, it provides more length than the Venom Shock and a faster response to friction.
At the heart of the Venom Cobra is the new Top Gear dual-density weight block. While the RG and differential are similar to the original Gear core, the dual-density configuration amplifies other variables of ball motion that, while not easily measured, are clearly demonstrated on the lane.

How will the Cobra differ from the Panic, which also was marketed as a longer and stronger Shock?
-
On the ball guide it lists the Venom Cobra where the Octane Burn used to be. Is it really a more angular ball? Seems odd given the core numbers and coverstock types (same surface for both it looks like) of those two balls.

This cover is cleaner and faster than the Panic, and the addition of the dual density block make this a completely different shape. It is sharper than the Burn, which moved over to the moderate column in the ball guide.

Interesting. I generally like higher RG balls for the medium to lighter conditions but this ball is calling my name for some reason.

Interesting that the higher RG ball (octane burn) moves to the middle of the row....I am anxious to see some good comparisons in ball motion between the burn and the cobra.

Excellent, that will be very informative. I look forward to seeing the full vid.
