Not to be a buster, but wasn't the Cruel LE a pearl asymmetric? Of all the people to know that the guys at Motiv should. Get their marketing material correct.

This is the first PEARL assymetrical ball by Motiv. The Cruel LE was a solid.

according to the Motiv website. . .
The Cruel LE contains the crazy-strong Cruel asymmetric core and a new additive to increase the surface texture (Higher Ra Value) of the Black and Red Formula-5 Pearl Reactive coverstock. This feature helps low to moderate rev bowlers cross more boards down the lane in medium to heavy oil. High rev bowlers will find that this additive provides a smooth, but very strong backend motion. It's not your typical pearl. It's a Cruel World!
I do know that Motiv makes quality stuff !!!!

I thought the cruels were closer to being hybrids, not true pearls. The cruels never reacted like True pearl balls at least for me. For me they reacted more like hybrids or solids.
ITS NEVER THE BALL OR THE LANES FAULT, ITS OPERATOR ERROR.

That was also my impression of both Cruels because of the way both balls react. The first Cruel was a hybrid and I THINK the Cruel LE was a pearl but when you look at it, it really resembles a solid or hybrid even with it polish. I remember reading Bowlers Journal's review of the Cruel LE and they mentioned that it does have a traction additive in the coverstock that helps the overall hook of the ball in medium/heavy oil.

Believe Cruel was a hybrid and the Cruel LE was the same hybrid coverstock, but with a higher amount of pearl additive.

Contrary to belief and ball reaction the manufacturer states the cover stock to be Formula-5 Pearl Reactive....that really doesn't seem to leave much to discuss.

I have to redo the vid now, my second GX1 showed up last week while I was in Arizona.

TWO GX1's! Are you kidding me! I have bowling ball envy now.......I hope Motiv uses that coverstock again on something in the future, I love my Recon RX1 Silver for burnt up/drier lanes.
