The Raptor has taken flight! *Vid*
« on: June 14, 2011, 04:43:37 AM »
Introducing the all new Motiv Raptor P7.

This is the most exciting ball release from MOTIV yet.  One amateur test bowler said it is the best ball he has ever bowled in his life!  One PBA touring pro said it is the best ball he has thrown in 10 years!

Bottom line - the Raptor P7 dominates on heavy oil.  It is clean through the heads to give you excellent length and then it unleashes on the backend with incredible continuation.  This ball reaction is powered by new Formula-7 Reactive coverstock and the new Predator Asymmetric inner core.

And, by the way, it just may be the hottest looking ball on the market.

Talk about shelf-appeal!

CONDITION: Heavy Oil
COVERSTOCK: Formula-7 Reactive
INNER CORE: Predator Asymmetric
FINISH: 4000 wet sand
15# RG 2.46, DIFF .060, INT .015
WWRD: July 22, 2011

The Raptors to be used in the upcoming full length reaction video, due early next week.
65x35@4.5"  No Hole
55x65@4.5"  P3 Hole
45x45@5"  P2 Hole

I've been thinking of trying Motiv, and this ball is admittedly interesting, but where's the long promised video?

I will be filming segment 1 tomorrow morning.  I have been traveling alot, to the tune of over 1.3k miles in the last few days.

And "long promised" is a bit of a stretch :)

Justin, if you'd like to argue, I'm happy to accommodate.

My daytime role is customer service. I make my living delivering promises, so missing deadlines is a personal pet peeve... Post on 6/14 says early next week. Now, while I'll agree that you're only 3-5 days late at this point, hyping vaporware, whether in product or media, to keep people hooked is a distasteful business tactic.

And as for rtaveling, I am writing this from my hotel room on travel where another day starts at 4AM. Respectfully, cry me a river, ok?

Sounds like you are definitely a small company with limited resources, but I actually like that.  We'll see what kind of product you produce.

Signature? I dont need no stinking signature...

Wasn't an invitation to argue at all actually.  Easy with the trigger finger, I know this is the internet and all.
And it is hardly vaporware, as seen in the post just above.

How about you cut Justin alittle slack here. What Justin does for MOTIV and the people out there that like the brand is over and above what he has to do. Justin has more knowledge than most when it comes to the product as goes out of his way doing these videos, with all the videos he has done it shows the versatility of every ball we have. Maybe you (lefty50) should take alook at the MOTIV discussion forum on our website....and you will see what I am talking about, Wi knows his stuff. As for the RAPTOR, I dilled mine yesterday and I will say, it is a motion that I have never seen, even out of other's equipment.....it truly is unique, and what is coming in August will only make the MOTIV line more complete......

I should have a video up this evening of my Raptor compared against my TR2 and Cruel. I will post a link to my vid once it is completed. It wont be as good as Justin's but in the mean time, it should give a good view of the balls reaction.

Wow!  I have never read a more inappropriate post in all my time on here, including the misc. non-bowling forum.  I don't roll Motiv but I do read the threads on here and I find Justin to be polite, helpful, and cheerful in all his informative posts.

Where do you get off, Lefty50, hauling a guy onto the carpet for not delivering a video when he said he might be able to get to it?  Life happens and schedules change.  Where do you get off crying about how much you travel?  Lots of guys on here post from their hotel rooms.

Do you really need a video to tell you whether you're going to buy a ball or not?  I am sure there will be many videos of seed balls made before 7/22 rolls around.  I suggest you cool your jets and apologize to Justin.  that would be the right thing to do.

Great a customer service D#*K!!! Seriously I don't care when he says he will post or you think he says it will be posted. He isn't getting paid to do it.It is not his job.  He does this on his own to rep a company and a product that he likes, and to better help people out. If you want to start paying him to do the vids then you can set a deadline for when they should be done. Is another pet peeve being an A$$ cause it seems to be your style.

I'm also a person that does customer service as a job but not acting like a d**k like the poster making the comment to Justin. The guy should be grateful that people like Justin takes the time to provide good and quality videos to give bowlers insight on what a ball can do, not make customers buy only their product. Just because Motiv is not big like Brunswick or Ebonite, it doesn't mean that their product or service is junk. If you really want a ball video that bad, go make one yourself and see if you have the time and effort to do it. We all know that Justin has to travel for Bowl Expo so it's expected that with that priority, the video with take some time. In customer service, deadlines can't always be met and people just have to learn to deal with it because they know that sometimes there are circumstances and things happen. I hope this guy doesn't treat his customers or other people in general this way.

Freaking internet honks like you, Lefty50, are what brings the internet down into the morass.  Justin says on 6/14 he should have the first segment done early this week.  What word didn't you understand, Lefty?  If you don't like your job and don't like the travel, that's your biz.  Don't take it out on Justin.  Hell, Brunsnick can say he is going to shoot ball vids and everybody cuts him slack on his due date, knowing that he runs two shops, reps Brunswick, etc.  Only guy who got his nose bent on the matter was you.  What's that tell you?  Moron.
