I will be getting my first Motiv in the next few days and would like to know what you all think would be some good drilling options? Will be using it mostly on a THS that tends to be a little on the heavier side but gets pretty good burn by the third game. My ball speed is 15-16 mph, 350-375 rpm, medium tilt and medium rotation . Currently have a Defiant Soul drilled pin under the fingers and an Apocalypse with pin above ring finger and a weight hole on my PAP. Thanks in advance for the help and really excited to be joining the Motiv family!!

I'd say just pick your favorite or what's worked best for you. The Vengeance just seems to be a good all around ball that you don't need to do anything fancy with

I drilled mine 40x43/4x40 with a P2 hole.....Similar stats with Tilt at 26 degrees....41 ft THS with some volume....mine as great friday and the deeper i got as the burn came the more it finished...My Covert is 50x4x40 P2....I wanted to make sure it was a bit cleaner so i went with a bit longer pin and i got exactly what I wanted out of it. Its a great ball....

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm picking up my Vengeance tomorrow and can't wait! I'll let you all know what we decide on and how it works.

Good luck !

Ended up laying it out 5" PAP with 45 VAL not sure about the drilling angle but it put the pin right above the bridge. Love the way this thing gets down the lane. Gets through the heads nice, reads the midlane with strong move off the spot and continuation through the pins like I've never seen before! Awesome ball! I think I'm hooked on MOTIV.

Hate to be a Debbie Downer but I wanted to chime in.
Picked my Vengeance up today. I went 90/5.5/45. My Covert is 90/5/55.
My Covert is one of my best reactions. It's very strong overall and really booms downlane. Super continuous!!
Was assuming Vengeance would be longer and more angular but it was surprisingly mellow. I tried polishing it too and it didn't help much. It's less angular than my Covert and seems rather forward rolling.
Any ideas?

Hmm. Not sure. Mine at 4000 is cleaner and stronger on the back.

I would guess that you took too much flare out of it by going 5.5" pin to PAP. If you can get a hole down on it to,increase flare some I would go that route. Or try a little surface on it.
-
So 5.5 x 45 vs 5 x 55 is a huge difference?????
I can add a low hole. Will probably go that route. Sti amazed at how different the 2 balls are.
But then again many solids are vastly different than they're hybrid and pearl siblings!!
Like the Hyroads lol.

The covert probably doesn't flare that much more but the combination of the extra flare more surface and stronger cover is likely causing what you're seeing IMO.

Hello Folks, I just got my 1st Motiv ball, the "Revolt Vengeance" and all Ican say is Wow! I am won over. The ball is a beast!
My question is for you Motive peeps is what ball in the Motiv line would go right above it? I'm thinking between the 'Covert Revolt' or the 'Primal Rage'. Is the 'Primal Rage' that much stronger then the "Revolt Vengeance"? Thanks, Jake
-
Primal is a bit weaker. Covert is the solid version. Goes right above.
-
Thanks vkowalski1970!!
-
vkowalski1970, what ball would you recommend to go right under Revolt Vengeance.
-
Depends on shape you want. I do believe that every person should own a venom shock!

I have noticed that mine wants to stand up on me a little and roll out too occasionally. Any suggestions?? Would this be more from lane condition, layout, release? Something else? Thanks
