Everytime a new motiv ball comes out they say itís the strongest motiv ball ever released. Give me a break! Motiv doesnít believe in dual density cores. Iíll take a proven hyroad core, or global break core any day of the week over any motive core. Iíll pass.

Hateful much? Every comment from you in this post is about bashing Motiv (Motiv, not Motive) if you donít like the brand it is perfectly fine, but trust me, no one cares what you throw or what works for "your game".

what? The Primal series after the TV4, Paranoia series, Cobra/VSP, Octane Carbon all have dual density cores. What are you even talking about?

THANK YOU. Itís so easy to write nonsense stuff nowadays...  :-X

I can't speak for everyone, but perhaps most of the Motiv mocking that you have picked up on is simply generated by the parrot type marketing message coming from central command for each new product release. It is a common play now in the marketing playbook and is used heavily in political ideology over the course of history. Its been proven to  work well, repeat a claim often enough and people will believe it and it becomes truth. But the majority of bowlers are evolving into a much smarter consumer now in which the parrot type messaging can quickly be identified, thus people posting offensive to you comments because the message clicked that trigger and was compelled to say something about it.

Speaking for myself, I think the educated bowling consumer is looking for a custom crafted marketing message by each individual reviewer outlining how this new product solves their personal bowling problem, in which is the root of why we make additional investments in bowling equipment. With this type of messaging, each ball can be reviewed, and debated online as to solving our problems today and in the future.

Perhaps Scott Hewit (Motiv Director of Marketing) will consider this new format in the future and adopt it for use. Only makes sense since his engineering team develops new balls to solve curent and future problems for staffers to win against the competition.

I personally like Motiv products except for the ball cleaners, and still own many of their products, but I stopped buying them for Storm and Rotogrip.

[Edit]
I must admit that the messaging for the Golden Jackal was slightly different in which the problem was pearl balls not finishing due to vague unmentioned forces, which is one of the reasons why I stopped buying them.

You know, as a staffer, I am inclined to sell my product (because it's the best!), but there is NO WAY that every ball is a must have in your bag. You throw it 12 mph and your house shot is medium? Don't need a Continuum. You're gonna have a bad time.

Every ball has faults, every ball has it's place. Motiv makes some great pieces, but not all of them are winners. NO ball company puts out all winners.

These kind of posts where a staffer puts his obligatory post on (insert bowling website here) to satisfy his contract are actually painful to the product line. No one wants to hear recycled drivel from the web site with buzz words to make you BUY BUY BUY!

The consumer is smarter than that, and as a staffer, it would be an insult for me to tell you stuff that you can pull from a PDF or the website. You should be able to ask a staffer almost anything and get a straight honest answer.

We at 900 Global don't have every hole filled (imo), and I'll be the first to admit it. But I'd like to think that because of my honesty and guys like Luke, who shoot straight too, you're inclined to listen to our words more than a shill. Y'all know my story, I've been around for 10 years faithfully before going out and getting a contract.

Staffers, be honest or don't post at all.

Hey average joe, you must have me confused with someone else, because this is the first time Iíve ever mentioned motiv in any of my posts. Have you ever heard of freedom of speech? Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. End of story. Doom youíre right on the money with last comment. Every company has their stinkers.

Average Joe isn't a staffer. He reviews balls from various companies and seems to give an honest opinion on the equipment. Even has a video to back it up.

As for staffers, if any are reading this looking for ways to improve, I will kiss my own ass(other than MotivMags or JustinWi of course).

MotivMags and JustinWi are excellent examples of how it should be done. Just tell us how the ball rolls without all the corporate gibberish and perhaps compare it to another ball or two in the current line up.

I just want to clear this up since the context was lost. Angel is great for the bowling community.

@Geigs you stated "Motiv doesn't believe in dual density cores"

That statement was proven incorrect by the facts that Motiv had a handful of releases with dual density cores.

Ok sv., and average joe. My bad on the dual density comment. My apologies. But average joe was also wrong when he said that all I do is bash motiv in all my posts. Not true, as I said, first time Iíve ever mentioned, or even acknowledged motiv other than this current topic. Go ahead and check my history. No biggie, I have thick skin, along with a thick mid section. Unfortunately!

I am not a staffer, so I donít know anything about a certain "marketing strategy" or something similar to push a product.

Iíve been doing reviews for almost 3 years now and I have never been told what to do or what to say by any of the companies I do reviews for (Motiv and 900 Global)

I agree that most of the reviews are boring, repetitive, without any real context or meaning and they are trying to sell a product (nothing wrong with that, at the end of the day this is a business) but the reviews some of the staffers do feel outdated and extremely biased. I am also tired of reading "keeps the pins low", "a must in your bag", "strongest ball ever produced" and all those cliches staffers use. But that is not exclusive to Motiv. Please go and watch the reviews made by Storm staffers, EBI staffers or Brunswick staffers and they are almost identical or even worse.

I would never provide a false opinion of what I really think about any ball, I do this because I love doing it and because i wanted to see something different than all the typical reviews we watch every day.

Not confused at all. Everything you posted in THIS POST has been targeting Motiv and how you dislike their products. You even wrongly said that they didnít even believe in dual density cores and you were proven wrong in a minute. Someone once told me, "if you donít have anything positive to say, donít say it".

Just because Motiv doesnít work for your game, it makes it a terrible brand, does it? And as someone else said, the freedom of speech has nothing to do with what you said and your fake facts about what Motiv does or doesnít believe. End of story.

Thanks Milo. You are right. I am not a staffer and that gives me the opportunity to try and review different brands. I always try to stay unbiased and I always try to give a fair an honest opinion about any ball I get to review.

Obviously there are balls that match my game better than others but I know every ball is meant to be thrown in certain conditions if you want to get the desired and advertised reaction. Though I also know, as Doom said, that not all balls canít be winners and that every now and then every company releases a turd or two lol  ;D

^this from one of the handful staffers on here that gives a crap.  I didn't start this thread to bash Motiv.  I started this thread to bash the dozens of shitty staffers that come on here twice a year to post garbage like the MotivSteve300 who was so lazy and sloppy he created a double thread of his garbage which will be up forever more than likely.  It doesn't benefit the brands to require and then basically encourage their brand ambassadors to do such a half ass job and it gets old fast.  Its basically nothing but penis pill spam.  Every single major brand's staffers for the most part are crap on here with maybe one or two good ones for each brand.  In this case it was a Motiv one that caught my attention.  Honestly if I want to know about a Motiv ball I would ask a non staffer like Milo or Angel anyway.

I agree 100%. I know your post wasn't made to bash Motiv, but the crappy, copy-paste reviews that some staffers do.

The good thing is that I feel that now there are more options to watch an honest review and hopefully it will keep growing more and more, I truly believe that the companies know that the consumers are getting tired of the same biased review and I am sure they will (eventually) do something about it.

In my case, as I said it before, I have never received any suggestion or message from any company on how to do a review or what to say... And I truly appreciate that.
