Find another piece that was freshly finished at 1000 abralon and look at how the overhead lighting is reflected/dispersed by that surface finish and then compare it to your GT1.
If the GT1 has any polish on it at all, the surface should reflect more light and you should see the overhead lighting more clearly.
This is a decent rule of thumb for comparing one surface finish to another.

I've found Power Gel by itself adds just a little length even when applied firmly. Much less length than any of the other polishes I have tried.

Not quite, but almost.
GT-1 is supposed to be 1000 grit Abralon (P1000 grit FEPA standard) which is 500 grit US. Resurrection's finish is 800 grit US or roughly P1600 grit FEPA.
That could be a slight difference for most people or it could be a big difference to others, depending on factors like ball speed.

I suspect it is what we would call a non-abrasive because of the results I got.

I don't doubt you for a minute about what the factory surface is on the GT-1. It's just that the GT-1 I bought came with a surface that looked dull but had a slight shine when looking at it in different light. When I do mine with Resurrection I feel I get that same look to the surface.

While the results you got may work perfectly for you (and I admit I am almost splitting hairs here), its looks may not be exactly what you need or want.
Power Gel can and, as far as I have seen, will put a very light "shine" on a ball, and Resurrection, when used with a spinner, will do the same. I hope you have many 300s and 700s with it, but I'd like you to be aware that the finish is not the same as the Motiv stock one for that ball. I am not saying you did anything wrong. This is not a right or wrong thing.
I love Resurrection and it's an easy fix for many balls. I am shocked at how many balls work wonderfully with a surface created exactly as you did. Sometimes I have to be reminded to use it. I often start playing with abrasive/grit levels and polishes, when I realize later that all I needed was a single applicationof Resurrection.

Yup. Just because of what a surface look like to the naked eye, the way of its texture after prep can have different reaction characteristics. Best example from my experiments is Brunswick's Rough Buff vs. high grit wet sanded surfaces or a shiny Finesse-It II vs. other glossy polishes. You might have the same ball with different preps and similar if not equal looks, but the reaction and utiliy can be way different. Then add the factor that what works for one player does not work another, and it become complicated...

I also agree that how it looks to the eye doesn't mean it's the same. As a matter of fact I think I do get tiny amount of less reaction using the Resurrection than when the ball was new. I'm trying to figure out what would be the best choice for surface without using The Motiv Power Gel.

Not at all. I was trying to make sure you understand. Don't let any comment I make stop you from trying to do what you feel you need to do. I never say what you MUST do. I'm only making suggestions from what I feel I know.
If you use Resurrection on a spinner, you should get a light shine with a normal application. Often on such balls as the GT-1, I find that enough to get a good ball reactio and adding additional polish provides too much length. "Stand on" the Resurrection with a little more spinner time and a little more hand pressure (I do not mean very hard at all!) to give you slightly more shine. See how that reacts.

I must admit, I did not find them simialr at all. Power Gel is mild polish with respect to the llength it adds. It seemed very easy to get a nice shine on the ball. Rough Buff is much more tricky to apply over the correct grit level and is a much more aggressive compound. I find the results and what these two liquids do to be very different.
