arsenal for pba miller high life masters
« on: September 06, 2004, 12:47:55 PM »
hey all, I'm going to be doing the PBA Miller High Life Masters and also joining the PBA regional tour in the midwest. Here is what I am going to drill up now and wanted some opinions if anybody has any:

My Pap is 4 5/8 right and 1/2 down. My axis tilt is 2 1/4 degrees. I have pretty decent speed and a mediumm revrate.

Goliath-Either pin next to ring with cg stacked below so around 3 3/8 stacked or maybe something else not sure on this one yet.
Track Rule-2 1/2" pin to pap distance, 5 1/4"mb to pap distance and the pin 1 3/4 up from midline.
Triple Xtreme-4x4 stacked
Bully-5" pin to pap, 3 1/4" mb to pap, and pin 1 3/4 up from midline.
Uranium-Label leverage
Intense Inferno-5 1/2 pin to pap, pin above the ring, cg kicked out a little bit but not much probably about 1/2 to 1".
v2 Sweet-Pin above and right of ring, cg basically underneath about 1/2-1" from grip center.
Columbia Wild-pin above and next to ring with cg in about 1/4-1/2 inch.

No spare ball?????

I don't think the pattern has been posted yet for the Masters.
But it is a relatively new surface.
We'll have to wait and see just what tricks they have up there sleeves.
free agency it is until i get a better offer.   LMAO

well yes of course a spare ball but that will be the famous drilling of i don't want it to move a board drilling.  It is going to be the red team storm spare ball.

I use a MoRich Colussus Pearl but they are hard to find. I don't think that the Wild would be a good choice. The ball has to go long but still have some decent kick on the end and still be readable. I've seen the Blazing Inferno, the Crunchtime, Thing Returns, Silver Streak, and the V2 Clean work very well. For the breakdown the Monster Slay/R or Scream/R seemed to be popular choices. I have not seen an Intense Inferno thrown but drilled for length that might be a good choice. The new MoRich Ravage looks good also. Both of these balls are made for length. The new Columbia Panic might be a good breakdown ball. Hope this helps.

I threw big blue pearl on the pattern e at my home house. the ball gave me a nice recovery from the outside. i played it straight down first arrow with the break point at about the 5 board also. i had to keep the speed up but i managed to shoot mid 600's and a 700 on the shot. i did take some hand and revs out of the ball. the shot also allowed me to migrate left once the line started to burn up.
