OK seems there is interest in Lake Ripley 3-man so I called Jeremy today and this is what I found out. Some are coming from a bit of a distance so they will want to bowl a double shift so this is best I could get and will have to let Jeremy know this week to hold spots. There is no MAST that day nor do I see anything on bowlweb.com. State Tourney will be going. Let me know.
Sat. Feb. 16th Noon 6 spots and 2 PM 4 spots.
Who is in? I can fill 1 spot or 2 depends on how much interest.
bass, 230-n-up, rge, rob_mil, Elite_Digger, Badger856....who else?
Sound off with how many spots you want....what shift. If you are only going to bowl once prefer you take Noon and leave 2 PM for those that want to double up.

Put my hat in the ring for both squads. I know that bass was looking to pull a double so he'll probably mirror my efforts.

Put me down for both squads.....The only thing I can think of that may be a conflict is the TV taping at T&C, but that's usually a little bit earlier.

Guys,
I should have been more specific it's team spots not individual. I assume 230-n-up and bass are bowling together....correct John?
Also rob_mil probably with his crew....correct Rob?
rge I think will have a team at Noon?
Anybody else? LMK.
BTW......this is hdcp. 3 person tourney for those that don't know with singles both hdcp and scratch. Here's their website and standings from last year.....doesn't look updated but anyway....... http://www.lakeripleylanes.com/

Fine.
Stick me with bass for the entire day. Whatever.
What did I do to deserve this? I've been nice. I go to church. Loving family member. And this(bowling with bass for six games) is what I get in return.

Yes, I would be bringing a team for both squads. If we whack 'em first squad, I'm sure someone would be willing to swap out a guy or two - what's the cashing rule for teams?

I think ya gotta switch one person. I'll ask to make sure and post hdcp....based off of 690 team I'm thinking from last year but could be wrong. I'll find out and post.

Scott

Put me with 230 and up.
I can try and get Kenny "Shimwrecker" to roadtrip down with me.
Or get Brotzie to come.
I can even do certain sunday squads based on my work schedule.
Just remind Jeremy that this is a bowling/drinking crew.
So bring in the Hooter girls.
LOL

If it doesn't have RG stamped on it.
Just leave it in the car or at home.

What about "Holiday" aka La Rim???

Scott,
I will put together a team for the noon slot.

I'd be interested, but don't know anyone else who would be. I'll fill a slot if someone needs someone to round out their team....

I am up in the air at this moment... however, I am 'interested.'
sorry to be a homer, but I have to wait to see if there are any other conflicts first...
Rory H
-
Rory's a maybe for bass and 230.
rge has a team spot.
Elite....I'll get you on a team.
Right now we have for sure. LMK if anybody else wants in. I have some others to ask.
1. Scott
2. bass, 230 n up + ?
3. rob_mil's bunch
4. rge's team
--------------------
Scott

Talked to my boys last night and we are definitely in - 1 team, both shifts.
Do I hear a small wager for a barley pop or 6...?

I'm sure something could be arranged.
Unless some of us turn into teatotallers.
But being from Wisconsin I honestly don't see it happening.

OK....just spoke to Jeremy this afternoon. Says to bass "I didn't get my lil pot from my Dad...I know all about you beer guzzling guys from the valley"

This is what we have:
Sat. Feb. 16 Noon 6 spots
Sat. Feb. 16 2 PM 2 spots <can add another 2 PM but we'll want for sure's here.
The 2 spots double shifted are for bass's/230's and rob_mil's teams.
This is what we have for sure right now 09/06.
1. Scott
2. bass, 230 n up + ?
3. rob_mil's bunch
4. rge's team
I'll pass the word and easily fill this squad up but you guys let me know right away if you have another team you want us to bowl with. The intention was to try to get a lil BR.com influence to the festivities. Guys like Elite-Digger, rge, and Badger856 don't know you other goofballs. Always good to put a face with a forum member.
My offer is if elected squad leader I will put all $ received from being squad leader into beer $.
Anything else lmk.

Ya Badger is kind of a right side bass.

Speakin' of which....whatever happened to Wind'em Up Willy H.? I haven't seen him in years. He had the ugliest thumb I've ever seen <Mark Roth..ish looking>.
--------------------
Scott
-
Actually I might be thinking of Badger 868 aka Jay H.
What about getting Riggs and Mac.
No matter what it'll be a good time.

If it doesn't have RG stamped on it.

Ah yep Mike not Jay Heinz. It's Darin P. you haven't met him I don't think as of yet. He might make an appearance if his kids aren't playing basketball on that Sat.

I had a chance to run the idea past Jeff yesterday. He appeared interested. I'll talk to him again and see if he can spare a Saturday for us.

Yep Rob. Your team and the B&B boys double shift.
Darin....LMK if you have a team or want in on a team.

scott, I'll be there this weekend and in February. I've already set aside a couple of extra dollars for February's mortgage so I can buy down my interedt rate with my bowling/card winnings...lol!

How did this past weekend go there?
Road conditions were BRUTAL up nort.

Lil 6 w/ 3 missed spares for me. Nuttin special. I used a B/G Centaur and had a good match up first game as I played the wet/dry track. Tried a Pearl Ogre 2nd/3rd games a bit of over/under needed to use a ball with bit more surface.
Ask John....bit of surface will quiet that over/under on the fresh backends. They are re-oiling every squad so fair easy condition. John did better on 2nd shift, I think. I only rolled one.
Scores will be high. Pat Dushack lefty rolled 660 as a comparison bass.

See ya Sat. I'll be there around 11:15 AM.

Will be there Saturday for sure....
Hopefully my boys will be able to carry me with the way I've been throwing the ball lately.....Oh well.
See ya'll then.

Had a good time Saturday - was nice meeting you Scott, glad to finally be able to put a face to the name.
230-n-up: I think you should hit the ball some more!! A couple more revs and you'll have more on it at the arrows than I do on the whole lane....
bass - keep in touch for Willow....think we would have a decent look.
Just wish Brownie was feeling better....might have actually gotten a casher and been a little closer for the barley pops the last set.
Maybe next time....

Yep good time had by all I talked too. My carry sucked but that can be iffy for me at LRL. The ole puck meister shot tell the backends tamed down was the best for me.
Let me know if you guys think that that Feb. 14 works best or Jan. 19 for next year??? bass thinks CWSBT in Woodruff is Sat. Jan. 19 next year.
--------------------
Scott
-
I tell ya, for as much as the pins fly around there I'm really surprised the carry isn't better....ton of corner pins for us (don't even mention the 7-10s)
Oh well.
Too early to tell for next year, but keep me in mind.

rob, tell Brownie to "get well soon". You know when a guy is sitting on the concourse in between shots huddled up wearing his jacket that he's not feeling that great. Few bowlers possess Kevin's talent. Hope to see him again real soon. As for the brewskies, allow me to be the first to say, "Aaahhhhhh." You'll get your shot at revenge. Let's see to it.
rge, nice to meet you and Mrs. E. She throws a mean ball and is worthy of "sister twister" recognition.
scotts33, thanks for helping to put this together. Always a pleasure to hang out with you. See you soon!
bass, you suck and are a disgrace to wrong-handers and I'll be your wingman anytime. Say "hey" to our own "flapper", Brotzie. It was nice to see him loosen up and get a little animated during the second shift. Wonder if it was the aiming solution?
FWIW, I've got the back half of the 4:00 squad for the same weekend next year. Might need to put in nine games next season.

Was pretty much a good time for the whole day.
Not the most pleasurable experience on the higher end of the house.
Brown does throw it nice.
Rob we'll have to talk about Willowcreek.
The weather was getting too nasty last sunday to drive there.
