Yea thats what the lady at the counter said when I called. There was no way that we would bowl if they werent at least doing every other shift. Yea theyll probably throw down a short pattern after the first set

The high score thus far is 1186 with handicap. We have had only 6 entries thus far. Next week we do have 20 entries registered and growing so I will post more results as they come through. We also have the tournament on facebook - just search Alligator Ice Doubles Tournament (I will be posting updated results on there as well).

As of 06-02, 1270 leading DBLs also found out the oil pattern is a modified USBC shot I was told they upped the volume of oil. That is all I know as of now I will be bowling in a couple of weeks and will report back then.

Just wondering if anyone can post a general outline as to how the tourney works. What would be the minimum amount of games bowled if you posted a low score? That sort of thing. Sounds fun but I've never been in anything other than a mixed, THS, fun type league with the wife. Have no expectations of doing well, but like I said, sounds fun.

I did not bowl as well as I can . Barely broke 600, My dbls partner low 500. I did not have enough surface for My ball speed. I used a 3.5 at 2000. You need to keep your ball speed down. I have higher speed around 17+ mph. I thought they played very tight someone with lower speed could open the lane up a little. As for scores I have not been by in a while I live about 30 miles from this center. We where 2nd squad and we had no one bowl before us, so fresh oil. Bowl last squad if you hate fresh & flooded. It was a good challenge. I might try again before the end if I can get down to the center . If i do go again I will bring surface at 500 & 1000 if I bowl fresh again. By the 3rd game i migrated to the out side and started to carry a little better for a 229 other games 186,189 stayed inside to long for me. Hope this helps you should try the tourney the tougher it is the more fun I have it makes me think .
