That still leaves 118 hours in a week to return a call or send an email. Just common courtesy imho.

I'm sorry, No one is perfect and some people have a life outside of work and bowling...

As I stated before, in the past, I've gone out of my way to help bowlers here find tough to locate NIB old stock. I don't work for Dave and this isn't something that Dave is set up to deal with.

He runs one of the largest volume pro shops in the state and does not need to sell equipment over the internet or phone to remain competitive.

Former Exempt, if you or your buddy want customer service for internet sales feel free to stick to online retailers since that's what they are structured to deal with.  I see hard to find balls on eBay all the time...

Mr. O'Connell, your shop is listed on Facebook, so I'm sure your business practices are going to be structured differently than Mr. Spohn's since he is not actively online to the same extent you are.

Not sure I know who you are...but you obviously know me. If you want to use my real name on this site I have no problem....but the courtesy of an introduction would be decent of you.

That said, I have a Facebook page because it is free advertising. Not because I do much business online. If that were my focus I would invest in and run a full service website with a checkout and all the bells and whistles. Dave is a much higher volume shop and I said that and also said I was not trying to bash him. Just met him a couple weeks ago and thought he was an intelligent decent guy who seems very well respected. The center he operates in is a very beautiful place and I am certain his volume is demanding.

That said, it is poor customer service to not communicate with your customers. Especially when they have made repeated attempts to do business with you. There is no way to defend it. Sorry....that is the simple truth.

I am sure he doesn't need one more customer to remain competitive. I could lose 25% of my customer base and still operate at a decent profit. But that doesn't mean I am going to turn down business either.

Good luck Jmac....I am done here also. This seems like a weird argument to me because I would bet if you were not friends with Dave you would not be defending this. I am certain if another business you were dealing with did this to you that you would complain just as former exempt has.

Let me know who you are....for the life of me I can't recollect any bowlers I know in Lansing. Weird.

I want to set the record straight. I do not personally know J_Mac or Dave, but this is how the whole thing happened....

I posted an ad on ballreviews looking for Nsane LevRG's. J_Mac responded that he might know where there are some. He responded back that his friend owns a pro shop and has a case for sale. I asked for a price and he responded with a price. I countered with a lower price and he responded with the comment "UPS just raised their rates.... But to humor you I will ask". That is the last e-mail from him ever. So for him to say he would do things different than Dave did was not my experience.

So with the help of a friend in Michigan and google, I figured out who the guy with the MoRich balls was. I called and spoke to Dave, we made a deal, I paid and balls arrived. Couldn't have gone any better. Dave even sent me a list with more balls for sale, but no prices. So I fired off an e-mail for prices, no response, fired off e-mail #2, no response. So I called and talked to Dave and he assured me received e-mails and said he wanted to sell some balls and an e-mail would be sent that day. So after receiving nothing I sent e-mails #3 and #4. No response.......... That is customer no-service in my opinion.

So the truth is, neither one followed up what they said they were going to do. I am glad J_Mac responded to my original post or I would have never found 4 undrilled Nsane's. Also glad Dave sold them to me at a decent price. I would prolly deal with both again, just think they could have a done a better job at handling the whole deal......
