« on: February 14, 2008, 01:17:50 PM »
Any of you guys in the oakland county area?

Late night sweeper, Airway Lanes in Waterford, 2 games to qualify, 16 advance to match play.

Edit: 3/5/2008: Rates have been raised from $15 to $20 bux! Small increase but it goes into the prize fund, 3rd and 4th will still receive DOUBLE their money back!

As of late the cut has been around 410-426, not to rough.

Come out to BOOOOOOWWWWWWWWL!!! I'll be there chucking the rock!

We need more BR BOWLERS!!!!!!! Scared money don't make money people!!!!!

Edit 3/13/2008: After the first week or rate increase there were 41 PEOPLE!!!The only thing that suffered was jackpots, less than 20 people got in that.FIRST PLACE PAID 350!!!!

Yea it was rough. Simo got to the final and got smoked again. 2nd place paid almost 200 more than i got for winning last week!!!! He shot his highest game against me!

Poor spare shooting/stupidity cost me 22 sticks. i could have won by a pin... oh well, there is always next week.

The cut last night was 435 I believe.  I once again started with a 192 lol...finished with a 265....

One day, I'll start with a 260-270 and take the pressure off of myself haha.

Yup yup! I shot 449 to make the cut, didn't find a good line till the second game. Really hope you can make it out one night, good times, and good competition.

The odds realy are good, when you figure 25 people go home because they can't shoot halfway decent. Pre-bowl your tues league and come out lmao!

I'm a fan of bowling i will bowl on anything. LOL! Don't let the fact that they are synthetics scare you, all you need to do is get to the hole and carry there, super simple. Besides... straighter is always greater dude, stop counting yourself out when you have never bowled in it.

Schei guy! FYI dude, we were gonna disown you if you didn't make the cut, we weren't gonna let you rep as a BR shootout squad member!!! LOL! Big brother was watching you!!!!!!!!

Brian...where were you man??  The cut was only 440 this week haha.  We had 3 1/4 BR reps....sadly only 1 of us made it...

238, 239, 256, 234 - 967 241.75 that was me.  With a freshly polished Roto Grip Cell.  Sadly I did just as well as the others as far as cashing goes...$0

Lost my 2nd match 234-257

Next week it's on

You know, you can throw the ball great but ...if it falls off your hand and goes in the gutter at your feet, then have two brain farts and end up with s7 on your first count, then punch out for 189... things aren't lookng for you as far as making the cut.

I called it when i said i wouldn't make the cut. lol! I was having to much fun!

Kinda upset i only needed 210 to make the cut. I can do that EASY, but alas, i entered the special olympics on 3 shots.

We bowl after the women, so its pretty sloppy at times. Its cake though.

Its kinda here and there, grego showed up last night, nolan bwled in it for the first time, travis was there last night, john robertson was there for the 1st time too. It is kinda here and there really, none of the "big shooters" come out weekly. 45 people showed up last night.

Tournement season is winding down, so alot more of them are coming out, they don't wanna get to many games in and hurt their yearbook or something.

Well I made it last night and I talked a member of my Tuesday league to make it down there with me and we both had a great time. We both it be going again for sure. I love the wood approaches and the synthetic lanes werent bad either. My lanes had oil for sure and I love oil. Well I hope to bowl better next time and make the cut into match play. I had 4 opens so that killed my games.

204-211 and missed the cut by 25 oh well.

I thought after you made it into the 2nd round of match play you already won money, guess I was wrong you need to win the 2nd match to cash huh.

Good too see you guys there.

Everyone has the Cell lol, I don't know how many of those badboys I saw last night. Good to see Moe had a Rising lol as I am a TRACK guy.

Adam

Yea dude its getting pretty sickening how EVERYONE has a cell, people keep going out and buying them TOO! I see at least 2 MORE EVERY WEEEEEKKKK!!!!!

LOOOOOOOVE my rising, it is actually my first track ball. Great piece. I want a cell but i refuse to pay full price, not gonna buy into the hype. LOL!

I went something like 236-189, i could have made the cut if that ball didn't fall off my thumb. LOL! It cost me like 20 pins, I was on a double, and i struck on my next two/three balls. I left 2 splits too! First non-baby split i have left in 3 weeks.

Grego was there a couple weeks ago, he didn't make the cut, then he and Nolen both played this week.  Nolen shot something sick like 835 for his first 3, he ended up winning the sweeper.  Grego made the final 4, then lost in a roll off after tying his match 257 a piece.  It was actually pretty exciting to watch after I got knocked out.

I think Nolen went 289, 268, 278 lol.  I definately could be wrong as I didn't see his 3rd game, but they did announce he shot 8 something big.

Lets be brutally honest here sir, he didn't break 400 during qualifying. LMAO! He came back and shot better this week though.

The final 4 was pretty nice, Grego and Nolan on separate pairs, both bowling two older guys. I think one of them bowled Don Lawson Sr. LOL! Straighter is greater!!!!!!!! Definitely old vs new out there, i wish i had stuck around.

Your a lefty, what do you know, you just win the carry fest on your side of the lanes.
