Late night sweeper, Airway Lanes in Waterford, 2 games to qualify, 16 advance to match play.
Edit: 3/5/2008: Rates have been raised from $15 to $20 bux! Small increase but it goes into the prize fund, 3rd and 4th will still receive DOUBLE their money back!
As of late the cut has been around 410-426, not to rough.

Edit 3/13/2008: After the first week or rate increase there were 41 PEOPLE!!!The only thing that suffered was jackpots, less than 20 people got in that.FIRST PLACE PAID 350!!!!

Its super easy. Especially when your left handed. 
It really hasn't been that low, i think last week it was like 430. If you can average 180 you can shoot 450 and qualify.I shot back to back 7's and i only average 176ish at century. *shrugs*
Just trying to see if any ball reviews peeps wanted to come out.

Just wanted to let you know, after shooting a 157 the first game of qualifying, I shot 277, won the high game pot, and made the cut.
Shot 254, 246, 229 in the first 3 match play games, then got smoked 289-something bad in the finals.
Good times...thanks for posting this!

I'll be out there again this tues.That sux, but that is usually how it works there, my friend terrance made the finals last week, guy shot 260 against him i think, he shot 240, a couple of taps killed him.
I think what killed me was the fact that they had to reset our score machine, and we were already behind, so i felt like i needed to catch up. I knew, i was fast on a lot of shots, and missed alot of easy spares. I was annoyed by the whole situation.
In hindsight, i coulda made the cut had i not had been stupid and got frustrated, that is the lowest it has been in the 2 weeks i have been there. Thanks for the advice sir! I was lined up nice in practice, then i started rushing. I tend to leave the ten there if i get the ball to far outside and throw a stronger ball, i was throwing my rising and it kinda killed me. I normally just throw a tropical it gives me the most area for the carry-fest.

So many bad memories of mug nights gone wrong, we went there like every wed for months straight and got TANKED! Gotta love it, 1l mugs 1.50 4 of those, 3 or 4 jager bombs, we would get destroyed! 10 deep, and a tab under 70 priceless... lol!

They used to be wood...so 10 years ago they would have been. Now they are synthetic, but still have the wood approaches.

Well trust me when I say anyone can win this thing. I'm not sure what league you're on at Sunnybrook, some of the leagues are easy as pie...others aren't. Airway puts down a huge wall. The only issue is we bowl on lanes used by women with plastic before. If you can play pretty straight, or able to play a small swing from like 10-5 or so, you'd be fine.
We are getting about 30 guys a week. Top 16 make it. I've bowled three weeks in a row...the cut has been 420, 442, 423. I shot 434, 445, 429
Finished 2nd in the first one after starting qualifying with a 157 (277 2nd game)..so anything is possible.It's fun....come on out...look for me..I'll have on a white Lions cap...I'll buy you a beer...

My average there is like 220ish. Its real easy if you can adjust, play straight and enjoy competition. It is deff a good time.Look for me too, i'm easy to find, i'm the only Mexican in the building.

Its kinda here and there, grego showed up last night, nolan bwled in it for the first time, travis was there last night, john robertson was there for the 1st time too. It is kinda here and there really, none of the "big shooters" come out weekly. 45 people showed up last night.
Tournement season is winding down, so alot more of them are coming out, they don't wanna get to many games in and hurt their yearbook or something.

LOOOOOOOVE my rising, it is actually my first track ball. Great piece. I want a cell but i refuse to pay full price, not gonna buy into the hype. LOL!
I went something like 236-189, i could have made the cut if that ball didn't fall off my thumb. LOL! It cost me like 20 pins, I was on a double, and i struck on my next two/three balls.

Hazel Park isn't going to run the Sunday sweepers anymore because of Thunderbowl's sweeper and they know they can't compete with them. Hazel Parks sweepers always had the same guys making the finals each week also. 3 guys always dominated them, of course it didn't hurt they were always on the same pair and broke them down the correct way to open the shot up.
