Scratch Tournament
« on: December 11, 2007, 09:54:39 AM »
If your tired of the high scoring tournaments around.  Come on out to Pheasant Lanes on Sunday the 16th.  Old fashioned 8 gamer.  Not on house pattern.  Pattern is still be discussed.  Will be challangeing.  Nothing stupid.  75.00 for guaranteed 800.00.  Plus plenty of brackets and side action.  Starting time is 9:45 practice.  Hope to see some of you there.

Also thanks to EVERYONE that made the journey to Bloomington with the weather the way it was. 30 bowlers, wow! Of these 30 only 15 of them were on my "list" of 38 that I had commitments from. Imagine if the weather was better.

OK, Final Stats for the tournament.

8 Game Totals

1st $800 +112 Mark Clark
2nd $400 +96 Bill Guszcow (sp)
3rd $300 +93 Bob Usdeth
4th $225 +83 Jeremy Grigg
5th $175 +59 Pete Spreadbury
6th $135 +26 Mark Johnson
7th $115 +19 Jimmy Sellers

High Game for the tournamnet was 279 Bill G.

Tournament Average 189.5
8th Place was +2 (last place that was "+")
16th place average was 190.4

4 Lefty's (one just missed cashing +2, the others were -294 29th, -63 14th, -52 13th)

50' pattern with 19mL was what they bowled on.

Also, when talking to the bowlers I had NOBODY complain about the condition! Many liked it and thought it was "fair".

Great tournament, can we have some hook next time?

Seriously though, I went -149 (20th?) and was VERY challenged all day, as was said, "good shots will score" and that was true for the entire tournament, very well run and i'll be looking forward to the next one!

I'll keep an eye out as well.  I live in the Peoria area, so it's a pretty quick drive.
