Title: Qubica systems or others in Illinois?
Post by: splendorlex on December 23, 2005, 01:45:29 AM
I want to get my stats measured, does anyone know anywhere in N Illinois where they have the systems to do that?  I've found a couple places with the Bowler's MAP, but they're a long haul from me in Northern Illinois.  Thanks!

Splendorlex, if you want some company to get your stats, find out when they are free or can do this (preferrably on a weekend) I'm more the happy to go along, I want to get my stats also.

My home center Arlington Lanes in Arlington Heights IL has the Qubica system.  Located in Northeastern IL, 40 min from downtown and about 45 from the Wisconsin border

Bear in mind, Quibica won't really give an accurate speed.  It only measures the ball speed at the backend.  Might get a close reading if you throw plastic straight down the lane.

Why not use a stop watch.  Ebonite has the tables to convert from seconds to MPH.

CATS is the only way to get all your stats.

I agree with Sr.....Qubica is poor if you really wants stats. you need to find a center with CATS.

Willowbrook lanes, in Willowbrook has the new brunswick that tracks your ball speed but I find it to be rather inaccurate, a better idea would be to buy a cheap speed gun and have somebody use it on you, those things are a lot more accurate.

FYI:  Tom Hinz from T&D Bowling and Awards is the Pro Shop at Town and Country Lanes in Joliet, Illinois will have the New Bowlers Map and the NEW Digitrak system from Ebonite up and running by mid Feb.  Digitrak was suppose to be here in Mid December but are still waiting for it. This system measure everything and will give you a DVD or CD on completion of your taping so you have something to measure over time. Tom is a Silver Level Coach and again voted as one of the top 100 Coach's in the United States. Tom made the cut at the Masters again this year in Milwaukee.
