I'm trying to track down any scratch tournaments in the are for the end of the season. I'm having a hard time finding any sort of solid resource online for my area, so I'm reaching out to her to find out if anybody has one.
I'm looking for anything really. I just want to bowl a few more weekend tournaments before it's golf time.
I'm up for anything within 100 miles of Milwaukee, really.

10 pin journal newspaper or Wisconsin Bowler magazine have some listed.
Otherwise facebook or word of mouth.
I can usually find something to bowl on the weekends but it requires some driving.

I agree with Dave about Riggs.
All you have to do is ask.
Basically if there is something going on it will be posted somewhere.
On facebook or on a tournament flyer wall at bowling centers.
I usually look at the wall when I travel around to different centers.
Making a note on my phone to remember the center, time and date for an event.
Some weekends the pickings are few and far between but other weekends its tournament overload.

I'm hoping to put a team together for the Willow. I went to college in GB, so it sure would bring back some fond memories.

Did Willow creek yesterday
havent been there in 3-4 years, looking around, its mostly handicappers filling the squad.
1 lane courtesy at best (not a big deal, but they just get up and go without even looking)
looking at the team scores, some of the top 10 teams have 1000 pins handicap.
there is a 841 for singles, next high is 759 (heard they changed the shot after that)
1st shift was a tough shot, but fair, hang outside, and takes off inside target
2nd shift was brutal, the scratch guys were 5-6-7th arrow.
1st shift, a guy had 299
put 40 in brackets 1st shift and got back 80 with a small 600
saw the big boys there and went lighter on bracket $$
2nd shift, didn't do anything
I would not bowl 2nd shift again, was not fun, not playable unless you have experience playing way in, lofting gutter cap

That's how willow creek has been for the past 3-4 years.
You either play the gutter or 4th arrow.
Also one of the main reasons I have cut back on my trips up there.
Now I make a token trip up.

i would need different equipment to deal with 2nd shift there, just not worth it
and there are the same guys loading up on brackets every shift

WIllow Creek as far as I am concerned has been that way forever. I've been going for 15+ years. Flat pattern probably tougher than Natl's. Nothing new we all know that going in. Bowl Noon and 3 PM always have fun and for the drive from Madison for $70 a good challenge. I've cashed about 1/2 the time. Generally cash more on the burn than on the fresh.
