Hey Sep, if you check out Niles, stop into the pro shop, I work with Rich Blake, who owns the shop, and we do good work

Also, Niles is generally a well-run alley, there's almost always open lanes unless it's a league night or after 10pm, and the prices are moderately reasonable, for being a Brunswick Zone...

Thanks for the replies guys.

I looked up all the pro shop, i think its fairly inconvenient for me to get to any of them. Probably have to take the train or something. So i guess no bowling for me while i'm here.

If you're going to be downtown, there really aren't any bowling alleys close by.  All the downtown places have been converted to yuppy bowling where they charge you $25/hour for lanes with no oil.

The couple that are reasonably close to downtown are Waveland bowl, roughly Addison and Western, and Diversy River Bowl, Diversy and Western.  Both places have pro shops.  Diversy River's is pretty good (can't speak for Waveland).  Diandra Asbaty calls DR home and gives lessons there.
