Thanks.  That is a nice little drive for me (about an hour), since I live in Woodbridge, VA but I have really been wanting to try a sport shot so maybe I will take the trip.

Crofton Bowl in crofton Md. had a sport shot league last winter on monday night. Phone # is 301 261 6670. Would be about a half hour shorter for you than Ft. Meade although Ft. Meade has a better pro shop and snack bar. Just take Route 50 east off the beltway to Rt. 3 north towards crofton, 2nd light turn right then 1st light another right.

                                   Regards,

While I highly doubt it is a sanctioned sport shot, US Bowl on Duke St. in Alexandria has one of the hardest(and driest) house shots I've ever seen.  Definately something that might humble you.

Greenway Bowl in Odenton, MD is running a challenging
conditions league on Wednesday nights every summer.
We are currently alternating between the 2004 Inter-
collegiate Bowling Championships pattern and the 2004
ABC Championship pattern.  Did not sanction as a Sport
League because we didn't get the patterns in time and
frankly because Sport League sanctioning procedures are
a pain in the posterior and not worth the effort.  While
it is too late to get in the league this summer, we are
contemplating running some Friday evening tournaments
using the aforementioned patterns.  If the tournaments
firm up I will put info on this board.
