Title: Challenging Conditions Shootout-Results

The tournament was held Friday night August 6, at Greenway Bowl in Odenton, MD.  There was a total of 35 entries and we paid out $420.00 in prize money and $290 in brackets.  The tournament was 4 games across 8 lanes on the same sport pattern used for the 2004 Intercollegiate Championships.  The cashers results were as follows:

1. Flo Harris-727+160=887 $160.00
2. Darnell Pearson-705+137=842 $80.00
3. Dar Wimer-799+6=805 $65.00
4. Vernon Dixon-675+108=783 $50.00
5. Ron Morse-782+0=782 $25.00
6. Bobby Reese-769+0=769 $20.00
7. Larry Campbell- 731+25=756 $20.00

There were a total of 132 games bowled and total pinfall was 21,813 for an overall average of 165.25.  The high scratch set was 799(4 games).  The high scratch game was 246.  Think this speaks for itself on the challenge of the lane pattern.  I salute all who participated.

If you can make this scratch and promise that type of shot....you have a jewel of a tournament and bowlers will show up.  No scratch bowler enjoys a carry contest!

The question should be asked as to what the hdcp is based on.  As for myself....if you can put out a shot like this I've got 6 guys that would bowl...
