Bowl America Shirley
6450 Edsall Road
Alexandria, VA  22312

Starts Friday June 5th at 7:00pm and runs until August 14th

First Place $900.00*
Winner of each week will get $600 based on 32 entries and then be guaranteed at least 2nd place for $300 on 32 entries the following week, making it $900.00

Entry Fee $69.00
1 in 4 payout ratio

Based on 32 entries
Round 1
Bowl 4 games across 8 lanes
Top 16 move on to round 2 (no carryover)
Round 2
Bowl a 2 game series and the top 7 2 game series will cash, but the top 3 2 game series will move on to a stepladder final, positions determined by the 2 game series total, the winner of the stepladder will then bowl the defending king of the hill.

The top 3 will advance every week to a stepladder along with the king. The cash ratio is based on 1:4, so thats why based on 32 he pays 7 plus the king which makes 8.

Do you have helicopter service to the bowling alley? The traffic around D.C. can be pretty brutal on Friday afternoons. Or is there a Metro station nearby?

yeah i know people are gonna bowl that, but its hard for me to get to Glen Burnie by 7:30, plus id be passing this on the way and for $69, $900 for 1st is pretty good with only 32 guys and if you get lucky to win 2, thats $1500.

Len Chetti beat Lee Brosius in the last match by 4 pins to be the king.  Took +81 to make the first cut, not sure the numbers on the 2nd one.  Had 20 guys, but with Jeff Bakers sweeper going on, that wasn't too bad.  Definitely more hook than excepted on what is suppose to be the "USBC championship" pattern.
