Yeah, it was a killer.  :-)  I didn't stick around to see the final results, but the winner was +500, I think.

Weren't there multiple bowlers who were +500 and didn't win?

Scores were amazing.  I bowled on the same pair as Ryan.  He started out 289, 300, 267 (I think that was his 3rd game).  I finished 4th in this tourney a few years ago and was +387, I think.  That wouldn't have even gotten a top 10 this year.  Insane...

Yeah thats a little too high.  I won a couple years ago and was +460ish, would have been 7th this year lol.  Nice bowling to those that bowled well though

B.Hall was +340 last year and WON to put the scores in perspective. I recall three (3) bowlers breaking the +300 barrier last year, not the whole field.

I am turning a deaf ear on this one. This is exactly what can happen on THSs. Tell me how anyone who avg 225 for this event and still 70 pins away from cashing and felt good about it?

They will have 90+ entries next time they run it too, as always.

A majority of people would still rather average 225 and lose than 175 and lose.

Steve, you know if they announced it was going to be a sport shot that the Red Eye would get like 30-40 entries max like every other tournament around.

The people that want a hard shot and would rather lose with 175's than 225's are in the minority no matter how you look at it because they are (for the most part) the top tier local scratch bowlers. These 10-20 guys will be at any tournament, easy or hard.

The Red Eye gets 90+ entries because it is easy to score, it's no secret.

I agree and have witnessed this at tournaments if you say it's a sport shot people will not show up you put in there it's a THS you can get 70-90 people there.
