Let the strike extravaganza continue. It doesn't even have to be a sport shot that is announced for the entries to go down. The problem is that your typical league bowler has been conditioned to play on TOP HATS. They automatically assume easy means being able to "stand left/right and throw left/right" at the gutter. Some of us "old heads" remember bowling the regional in Franklin, VA when Chuck Gardner owned the center. The scores were very similar to Bull Run but you had to play fallback from the 4th, 5th and 6th arrow.

You can get score on other patterns/angles but some people don't want to think outside of the box long enough to expand their bowling horizons and bowl on them.

CJ - You think they will continue to get those entries when bowlers are wiped out of all of the brackets in the set with 230s and 240s? They probably will. All I know is that the scoring pace at Bull Run is Fools Gold. Maybe I'm too old to find this as an acceptable scoring pace for tournament.

Walt, You are not too old. Well maybe LOL. You are one of the few that like to go bowl in a tourney and not throw the ball at 5 board all day long. You are right there are plenty of patterns that can be high scoring and not be playing 15 to 5 all day. I love bowling on tougher stuff, unfortunately my schedule doesn't allow me to bowl more. I would rather win a bracke, pot, etc... with a 180 then lose with 240.
