Does anyone know of any good scratch tournaments coming up in the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania area? It would be nice if someone could come up with a amateur tour for this area for people that are good enough to bowl in PBA regionals but don't want to because they do not want to lose their amateur status. I can't be the only one that thinks this way. The women around this area have something called WASA (Woman's All Star Association) and it is actually a good idea. They have two tournaments a month on one weekend and they travel around the Northeast area. They have a points championship and everything. It is a good way to gain experience. For more info you can go to www.wasabowling.com. Anyway, my point is, why can't someone start a men's tour like this. I know people would bowl.
$75 entry.......6 game qualifying then cut to the top 16 and have match play elimination or something like that. Just a thought.

You have ABT and NEBA in this area.

two questions. Do they have a website and I thought that they where hndicap only tournaments? Thanks for the reply.

Albany also has tournaments called the "Northern Bowlers Association" They run mostly during the regular bowling season and are in varied houses within 20 miles of Albany. Good competition and decent shots are the norm with many PBA regional guys hitting them when they can.

NEBA is a great scratch tournament running in New England (CT, MA and RI)only.
There's also another tournament running mainly in CT, www.phatbowling.com

Get in touch with T. SEMINZ and see if he still has his matchgame tournaments going.
